It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that an editor, ArleneRimmer, passed away earlier today. She will be sadly missed by many of us here at Funtrivia.com.

We will miss you Arlene. RIP.

Sue, I'm so sad to hear this. People on this site do become very close to each other. My sympathy to all who know her and to her family.

I will extend the condolences to Arlene's family and friends. I didn't work with her on a quiz myself, but, it is always sad to hear that someone has passed away on this site, as has been said it is a close-knit group.

I worked on many of Arlene's early quizzes - there is such a rush of pleasure when an editor encounters a new good author who is also a nice person.
She really was an important part of our community, loved and respected.

I'm so sorry to hear this, I had no idea she was ill, if there was any prior warning. She once even sent me a postcard and we had been working together on some quiz corrections whenever we spotted them. She was very helpful when she edited my quizzes and we got to know eachother fairly well. She will be sadly missed and set a wonderful example to editors and quizmakers alike.

Oh my gosh... how sad. It's remarkable how much people can get attached to each other here - despite that it's all online. You never think these things would happen - in personal life nor FT especially... but it's just so tragic. I extend condolences to Arlene's family and all of those who were dear to her. She will indeed be missed.

This is very sad . I didn't know her directly but have seen her name around so many times. I am sure she was one of FT's beacons.

My condolences to her family and friends.
Rest In Peace Arlene.

In the days when we had blogs on FT I ALWAYS read anything she posted. They were a total delight. She was an excellent quiz author too. It is very sad to lose a member of our FunTrivia family, and my condolences go to her real family.

I regret that I never got to know her better. From the few blog entries I read it seems she had a wonderful sense of humour, and was certainly somebody worth knowing.
May she rest in peace.
