Are there songs from your generation that you still crank up? I'm 23 and the other day my friends and I had control of the music at our local watering hole, and we started listening to songs from when we were little. Are there songs still as powerful now as they were then?

Our current favorites are:
Little Black Backpack - Stroke 9
Inside Out - Eve6
Breakfast at Tiffany's - Deep Blue Something
Counting Blue Cars - Dishwalla

Are there songs you have to listen too regardless of how embarrasing they are to admit?

When I get together with my elementary school friends, we still love listening to songs from the year we graduated sixth grade (1999). These songs include Baby One More Time (Britney Spears), Livin' La Vida Loca (Ricky Martin), She's So High (Tal Bachman), and of course any Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls song.

pretty much the same as guitargoddess. Backstreet boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears, Spice Girls (x 1000), Ricky Martin's Livin la Vida Loca.
And, from a *little* farther back, lots of Rafi

I remember listening to the Village People classic "YMCA" when taking roller skating lessons with my Girl Scout troop in 1979.

Pretty much just 90s stuff.

I can't remember names or anything, but I'll hear a song that I recognise and then download it.

Other than that, I have found a love of 70s music from my mum, it's a bit before by time though. (ok, a lot before my time)
