Something natural; a close-up of a small quartz boulder which I brought from Wales in order to have a bit of Snowdonia in my garden. It seemed to weigh a ton by the time I'd carried it in my rucksack down a mountain.

The top end of Hampstead Heath in Hampstead Garden Suburb. I had about 5 minutes of available light and half the photos after were ruined as a result. Only just after 3pm as well!

This is an interesting looking mini-van spotted at a downtown farmer's market in Roanoke, Virginia. It had all these colored tiles and stones glued on it. And just to be on the safe side, I blotted out the license plate.

Nice catch ClaraSue, I'd have snapped that too! My favorite car to photograph is the Smart Car - I've seen quite a few interesting ones of those, none with appliques though!

When I went out to get my paper around 4 this afternoon, it had started to snow again, so I thought I'd try to get some pics of it coming down. That's what those little white specks are... What this picture, taken from my front porch, does show is just how close to home my nearest bus stop is! There's even a shelter.

This is my Mum's new dog, Bella. Her previous owners decided to move back to New Zealand and they didn't want to go to the expense of taking her with them. She is a lovely dog but seems to be a bit afraid of men and cowers if anyone picks up a broom or a fly swatter. We assume there's a good reason for that! I just don't understand how people can be cruel to animals. Well, Bella finally got lucky. My mother will dote on her. We don't know what kind of dog she is. In this photo, she has her head in Maynooth's lap.

Since my picture yesterday had a boabab treet in it, I decided to post this one of Baines Boababs in Botswana. Tomorrow I will post the same picture taken at sunset.

What never fails to amaze me about this place is the variety of architecture. This is a nice 1930's bouse, once the home of one family, now many flats. Not spoilt though.

Tha last leaves on a shrub I have in the front garden.Haven't a clue what it is.Rather sharp thorns on it though.

Sometimes there are walls and fences a foot or so too high to see over, so I get the camera and hang it over and hope for the best. This was one of my lucky ones at Highgate Station. I do have a stool if I want to go back anywhere and do it properly.

The craft of the basket maker is still alive and well in East Anglia.

With the leaves off the trees it is easy to see all of the little animals' homes high up in the branches. This one is across the street from my house.

'Starters ' at the BBQ at a friend's house. Soon after this she brought out a huge garoupa , so we had to quickly finish up the stuff you see. I got so excited about the fish, which was lovely and crispy and succulent, that I forgot to take a photo.
