Just imagine for a moment that you were only allowed one TV channel.

Which would you pick and why?

BBC Entertainment.
It has millions of repeats, but it is still the best. We get many of the good old English Sit-coms, drama series and comedies. There is "Only Fools and Horses" "As Time Goes By,"My Family" Dalzeil and Pascoe, and recently "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and the Hotel one . We get The Weakest Link every day . I really do not watch much else, except maybe TCM, although their idea of Classic Movies often differ.
I am not a great fan of "Comedy " with canned laughter, which is what the other channels seem to churn out ad nauseum.

Almost definately ABC. It has Dr Who, Chasers, random funny stuff, and decent news.

Jeesh, that turns out to be a really hard question (when I watch TV I channel surf like a wild person). TCM was tempting, so was NBC. Then there's PBS, too (but I wouldn't want to HAVE to suffer through those fund raisers without opting out every now and then). Ultimate decision? For me? I'd keep BRAVO, I guess.

I'd have to pick Fox SPorts - it's got the Rugby League in winter and enough cricket through thte year to keep me going.
For a non-sports channel I'd probably pick Lifestyle or something similar. I'm addicted to renovation and property shows lately.

Almost impossible! My husband would choose Hallmark or USA which ever has the most Texas Ranger, or Rocky reruns. Easy one for him...

I'd have to go with ABC, but I like ER on NBC! What about the CSI's? they're all on CBS! Oh Dear!

That's tough, but maybe G4TV (or A&E or USA or TNT); those channels have some of the best re-runs!

It is really tough to choose -but it would have to be the National Geographic channel or maybe Discovery. Or maybe Turner Classics.
Impossible question, really.

I'm noticing however, that nobody has chosen the NASA channel. I'll never forget one night about two in the morning. Some poor sod was pulling the night shift, alone in a huge control room of some kind, surrounded by dozens of monitors set on test pattern. With his feet propped up, he listlessly grazing on what appeared to be a Big Mac and fries. High voltage entertainment, to be sure.

My favorite show is on NBC, but it's the only show I watch on that network. I'd have to pick CBS because all my other shows are there.

Discovery channel for me without a question:) I love many forms of entertainment but if I only had one, that would be it. You'd probably have guessed that if you ever saw my blog here! LOL

Actually we don't have any, we watch recordings on the P.C.

I think I'd go with DIY, although my favorite show is on Bravo, and I love old movies, so TCM was a top choice. But I would opt out of the fleeting pleasure of once-a-week entertainment for the daily useful and enjoyable shows in the DIY network.

This would be really hard for me. But would have to be Hallmark Channel. Because my favorite show that helps get me through the days "Little House On The Prairie" is on that channel. I watch it everytime it comes on.

I think I must be really peculiar! The one channel I could not live without, would be MSNBC! I'm a newsaholic, and cannot bear the others. I'm also a political junkie, so I have that channel on probably 16 hours per day, currently. I have a few other favorites, HGTV, most of the Discoveries, TLC, NatGeo, the Food Network and DIY... and will watch certain network series... I'll go looking for a movie or something if everything else is a repeat... but the majority of the time, that is the station that will be on.

OMG how hard is that! Erm, i'd either have to go for skyone or paramount comedy. Although these are a mixture of other channels/networks like PBS...

I'm going with the Discovery Channel, although ESPN comes in a close second.

My favorite program on TV right now, and the only one that I make time to watch, is MythBusters. There are a lot of folks who don't like the show, but I'm not one of them. If Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman ran for the White House today, I'd vote for them--so long as they allow me to be Secretary of Transportation.

ESPN gets high marks for Around The Horn and for its coverage of PBA Bowling. (Yeah, I know they cover the NFL and the NBA, too, but there's just nothing like watching guys like Chris Barnes and Parker Bohn III duking it out on the lanes.)

I would have to go with VH1. There are too many funny reality shows. They are great! Very entertaining.
