Has anybody else read the above book by Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln? If you have, I would be extremely interested to hear what your views are on the whole thing.

Ok, well I guess it's just you and me that have read it Temp.!

Ok Templar, well let's start our discussion then. Did you find it incredibly esoteric and intriguing or did you find it far-fetched and poorly argued?

You know, Temp., without trying to sound too much like a complete fence-sitter, I kind of found it to have qualities from both of those camps.

Really Templar???? Well, let me check some stuff out and I'll get back to you.

Ok Temp. Speak to you soon.

A very interesting book Jazz about a priest in the south of France who suddenly amassed a large fortune. The reason why he did so was shrouded in secrecy, so a BBC reporter began to investigate and found links to the Knights Templar, the Holy Grail and a host of other things. The story that emerged caused quite a bit of controversy in the late 1970's, because basically if the author's suggestion was creditable, then it meant that the entire foundation of the Catholic and Protestant religion was based on falsity. The book is great to get the mind thinking, but certain parts of it seem to lack complete proof and rely instead on supposition. It reads a little like the "Dead Sea Scrolls". Very fascinating ideas though.
