Can anyone think of any good literature related games? I suggested a silly game in movie chat where someone described the plot of a movie and then others had to guess which movie to which the plot refers. Could we do something like this here? If we wanted to keep it within the realm of the reasonable, aka the most well-known works of classical literature, we could make the hints rather obscure.

For example...I could give a hint such as: A man and his poodle. And someone else would guess "Travels With Charlie" by Steinbeck. If they were correct, it would be their go. We could include novels, famous poems, plays and other works of fiction. Heck, we could include famous works of non-fiction too. If anyone is interested...please feel free to start things off! (one at a time though)

This is a good find....go to: http://members.tripod.com/quizzereena/Shakespeare.htm
There are literary quizzes on there and the Shakespeare one is particularly challenging. A good site.
(oops, I forgot to say...) That games's a great idea Jazz and I am going to think up a real stinker...

Great idea Jazz. Does it have to be only classics or could we have the most well known bestsellers also?

Let me start with a rather easy one, since I'm sure it will be the only time I will get to start one. Lol.

He idolized the great Dimaggio.

Ok EC. I know that you know what this one is, but hold off till Jazz gets here. He's on the west coast and won't be up for a few hours.

I have no problem saving that one for Jazz, because I don't know it. I'm off to the dentist for awhile anyway, but I'll think about it in case he or someone else doesn't get it.

Oh wait, I just got it, I think. But I'll wait for a while anyway.

I'm thinking 'Walden' here...

P.S. No need to stop the game for me, we'll just play a free for all. I'm sure I'll get my chances at some of the books. Also, I don't see why modern bestsellers would be a problem, just so long as we have a *good mix*!

Nerthus is indeed correct...the frogs constantly said this throughout this comedy masterpiece by Aristophanes.

Sorry for the tough one...you're up Nerthus!
