I wouldn't mind having a hot-tub for my back porch but wouldn't dare buy one until I'm in my own house.
I also wouldn't mind having a decked-out RV to take to all my far-away vacation destinations - the top of line models run into the low million dollar range, high living on the road!

Swimming and pools are expensive here so it would be that.. my own indoor pool or an unlimited ticket.. last time I swam was August (in the Red Sea) and it was divine.

How right you are, Sue! You got me thinking about the many treats and pampering I had received as gifts. They outnumber by far the ones I offered myself . But I am slowly trying to balance that and last year I treated myself with a book ordered from Amazon - the shipping was more than the price of the book but I love that book and will never ever regret buying it. This coming Christmas I will buy myself a color printer, the first one ever! I'm still living in the Stone Age it seems . There is something I always wished for and never got around to treat myself with, a Walkman. It would be very handy at work , when on the metro train/bus ( you cannot imagine the conversations one can witness). Also, I have about 250 audio tapes and my cassette player died a long time ago, so I suffer from not being able to listen to them anymore.

On occasion I get Godiva chocolate. It's rather expensive so I don't do it often. I also go to Estes park once a month to go tourist. My usual indulgences are a good fire, a good book, falling asleep in my chair, a hot bath, and a good meal. There are many things that I would like to have but I can't afford or can't justify buying.

A few times my daughter has bought me a massage as a gift, in fact she sent me a voucher for my birthday so that I can have a back, shoulder and neck massage. I just have to phone and book a time for it - bliss.

Although we have a Jacuzzi tub in our master bathroom, I seldom have time to just get in relax with a book and enjoy. I would truly love a day at a spa. Never been to one, and just could not justify spending the money on it when there are so many basics it is difficult to afford -- like electricity! It's getting so very expensive, especially here in the summer.
I would also appreciate so very much dining at a fine restaurant. I'd order a bottle of great wine, a favorite entree, and dessert. One year for Christmas we gave each other dinner at a very upscale restaurant along with a glass or two of wine. With an employee discount it still came to $180. I still find it hard to justify that when I could buy so much food to eat at home for that kind of money. Then, I felt guilty afterward. Maybe it's getting waited on that appeals!

Heaven.

Hey! Good idea! We can play 'Cat Woman and the little boy' again.
I'll bring the BandAids; you bring the riding crop and the feathers.
Mmmmm.

Not being a very demanding kind of person I would have to say that for me a day 'just for me', (darn it even a mere couple of hours would do), no calls on my time, nobody else's needs to think of, no jobs to finish up . . . would be the height of luxury.

The height of indulgence for me is a trip to the movies on my own. Simple, inexpensive, but it's all I get. I loooooove Goldiva chocolates, but you can't get them here.
If wishes were horses, I would like a week of unlimited funds, along with no cubby and no child (I usually lump the cubby and the child under the same umbrella by saying "I've got two kids...One I married, One I gave birth to", and no phone for them to call me on! A whole week of spa indulgences, fine food, trying on expensive jewels and clothes, a king size bed to myself with lots of fluffy pillows, a bath to soak in.
I think I'll go back to work now. *sigh*

A good night's sleep is what I covet and it's been years since I've slept and woken up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. After years of this I find myself fantasizing about what bliss it will be to be dead. Nothing morbid is implied here folks, just a desire to rest and feel awake.

My mum did something a little like that. She got my nanna down from Pt Pirie to babysit my sisters and me, and headed off to Murray Bridge for a weekend of fishing. I don't know how she coped without any contact from the outside world, but she loved it, and she really needed it as well.
My ultimate indulgence...A really comfortable lounge or chair to sit in and read all day, without having to shift position because my back starts hurting, or my legs, or my neck. As for the book, something fantasy or historical fiction that I can lose myself in easily. Even science fantasy if no straight fantasy was available, because my brain isn't as active as it would be if I was reading science fiction.
I usually love science fiction, but to relax, only fantasy or historical fiction does the trick well.
Oh, not to mention a cool milkshake or soft drink if it was a hot day, a Milo or coffee if it was cold.
