But Telly, we just had a theme suggested by me, numbers. Wouldn't you rather go on to the next one?

I'd like to start afresh using the 'Theme Suggestion' thread. The order of the posts will make it easier to choose a theme each week from it without my poor brain having to work too hard on a Sunday morning . Anyway it's a good theme I'd say.

I love clouds so I am perfectly happy with the choice for the week's theme.

Hey, don't feel so bad I'd suggested 'clouds' as a theme two days before you did, though in the 'Themes Addition' thread, as the 'Themes suggestions' thread didn't exist then. It's a good theme, and interesting to see what turns up during the next week

I just saw your post Picqero (every single time I have to go back and re type your name without the "U" ). Now I'll actually have to go out and find a great cloud!

Probably my best ever 'clouds' photo was posted in photo-a-day back in September, so I can't really post it again. Here's a link to a larger image of it. I took this one last year, from the summit of Mt. Snowdon in Wales. I'd started the day walking up Snowdon, along the ridge of the Llanberis Pass, in dull overcast weather, but emerged above the clouds to this spectacular all round view. Only the higher peaks were poking through the clouds, the tops of which were about a 100 metres below.

Like picqero, I think my best clouds are here: Unusual Clouds But this is my clouds photo for this week. We visited Haleakala National Park on Maui in Hawaii, and drove up above the clouds to the summit of the volcano.

This is not a very dramatic picture but it's the only one I have showing clouds. I took it on our trip down south back in July because of the unusual cloud formation - well, it is unusual for this neck of the woods. Normally our skies are very blue and rarely are they covered with cloud. When we do have clouds, they are typically large cumulus clouds. On this day, however, the sky was covered with these small clouds. It looked like a giant sky of scambled eggs!

I already posted one from this series back in May (rainy season) so this is another doom and gloom cloud picture

What a great subject and great photos! I don't have anything taken this week so into the archives I go. This was taken in south Texas a couple of years ago.

I love cloud pictures! Everyones' pics are great! Here's mine: This was taken toward the end of June this year. A huge thunderstorm had come through in the late evening, and the sun was going down just as the thunderstorm was passing, so we got a nice double-rainbow and Kit and I went outside and played in the last of the rain and snapped a few photos. If you'd like, you can see some shots of the rainbow, including one where Kit poses in front of it, although by that time the sun was definitely going down, so the light was very bad and the rainbow was fading. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lothruin/2058553845/http://www.flickr.com/photos/lothruin/2058554039/

Thanks everyone. This week's theme thread of 'Animals other than pets' has been started. Time to get rid of the crick in the neck from looking up at all those clouds and move onto it .
