I've gotten this several times but my computer seems to operate normally afterwards. Do these latest details (today) mean anything to you? I've added no hardware or software lately and both Spybot and Ad aware have found nothing (except tracking cookies). I have AVG anti-virus and it runs every day automatically (and finds nothing).

Off the top of my head, I'd say it's a driver problem, but the puzzle here is you say that you've made no changes recently.

I'm wondering if Windows Update has loaded an inappropriate driver for your hardware - happened to me ages ago with a Nvidia video card.

Have a look through the device list in Control Panel and see if anything looks odd (e.g. disabled or flagged as not working properly).

Another thought - are you the only user of the machine? A few times I've had to fix PCs that had been "adjusted" by the owner's kids/spouse/budgie/goldfish etc.

I have heard "possible driver problem" mentioned by someone else, but my Device Manager has no error or exclamation marks. How can I check my drivers (or isn't it necessary since the Device Manager is happy)? Also, I am the only user of this computer.

I can only comment because I've researched and read up a little on the error message. Not ever having experienced the problem personally, there's little more I can do.

The general opinion is that it could be a hardware problem with either memory (RAM) or the graphics card. If this is the case, it looks like you'd need to get these items of hardware checked out by someone who rebuilds or repairs computers.

Try a search using the keyword: BCCode (and some of the other parts of the error message). Read what others have to say about similar problems.
