Welcome to the December photo thread. The November thread will be left open for a while to allow for World time zones. It will close it once it is December 1st for everyone. Post in either thread (but not both) until then. Keep the good photos coming.

If anyone needs information on how to post photos, it can be found in the 'Photo posting guide' located at the top of the forum.

On my weekend away last weekend we all went curling. I took a pic of my stone within the 'house' the blue circle to prove I had done it. Two seconds later it had been knock out by the next player.

Here are some of the kites that the Year 2 children made. They are certainly colourful.

I walk this road towards our home every Saturday morning. I've already walked about 1.5 miles from the shops to get this far ..and there's been the outward journey prior to that ..and all the walking around the shops! No wonder this road looks endless to me by the time we get this far.

I love the curling and kite photos, Peggy and Ren!

We ACTUALLY had rain here in the desert yesterday. This is a photo from my computer room window. It rained solidly from 8:30am to 3:30pm - it hasn't rained that much at one time in the 16 months we've lived here. Loved it!

It's December - which to me means Advent Calendars And not a ordinary calendar either!
Me and Mum made this calendar about six or seven years ago. This is it before the "goodies" go inside it. Tomorrow you will see the stuffed version!

djsgal, I love your Christmas avatar. How festive!

The contrails in the sky last night made for an interesting sunset.

One of my grand-daughters singing with the school choir at the switching on of the local Christmas tree lights. She's the one with the silver tinsel 'horns' on her hair.

My sister's Christmas tree, sans angel, which has "fallen"!

She doesn't like to put it up until December arrives, but it went up on the first and was there to greet my mother and me when we arrived for dinner tonight.

Just found this thread and it is great!

Sorry this isn't a photo from today but I will do it tomorrow ---this is to see if it works as I ahve never done this before.

I have several dogs (9) and look after others regularly. This is my baby, he is called Celt and is a border collie.

Tomorrow will be a festive picture, promise!

Welcome Lynn, and a delightful image to start with. I love your dog's colouring.
It's been wet and overcast all day today, so here's a picture of a couple of our ornaments, Delftware Dutch couple and quite old I believe.

Ren, your kids always make the cutest things - I love the angels.

This is a quick photo out of the car window, of Vasquez Rocks State Park. Many parts of movies have been filmed here, including Star Wars, and most recently the newest Star Trek movie, which is kind of a prequel, with a young Spock and Captain Kirk.

Today's snow looked quite pretty on this tree in my neighbour's back yard.

Here is a picture I took of an old bridge on our weekend away. I am guessing a hundred years ago a horse and cart could have driven over it but now they have built a walkway just for people.

I do feel that this snowman has a bit of character.

Whereas this one is a bit goofy.
Well their creators are only 4.

*Blech !* Well, this was inevitable, I reckon. The pesky thing about this snowfalling agenda, though, is that these innocent little spurts at the start of the 'season' get more thunderously irksome and entirely unfriendly from now until March . But it wouldn't be December in Ohio without such beautiful messes...

The little town of Blackstone, Virginia has its train cars decorated for the holidays. This is just one car of a set that is stationary in town. Here's part of the set.

I feel sorry for those up north dealing with snow and ice today. Here in South Carolina my camellias have started blooming.
