Peggy, that looks like an original art deco fireplace, we had lots here but most were taken out in the 70s onwards so quite rare to see one.

This is the site of the original Temple Fortune farm, on the left the garden centre which took it over and Temple Fortune Court on the right.

Well picqero they are very colorful.

My daughter did a cross stitch for one of her friend's who had a new baby. Mrs. Argus came up with the idea to cover a photo album with material and sew the cross stitch onto the front. I think it turned out quite nice.

Dave, I can't answer your question about the lights. I'll have to ask my neighbour.

Here's Katt thinking about playing with one of the toys he got last Christmas. What he really wants, of course, is for me to get him some (more) food from the cupboard just behind him.

Ahem! These are extremely special cookies! I hate cooking. I loathe the whole process, I always have and always will.
BUT, I made about 4 dozen cookies today. I found myself with all the ingredients , but for colouring the icing I only had red and blue. So I made purple! They are a little lurid, I knew, but I did make them myself.

More cookies

These three friends always go underneath our tree at Christmas. Santa used to have batteries inside him, and repeated every word you said. But we soon took them out! A "Silent Santa" is so much nicer

Piqero's partygoers and Ren's cookies make a nice color match!

When the postman arrived this morning he was clutching an enormous flat package from America. Thank you so much ktstew for the beautiful print, I love it. The photo doesn't do it justice.

You're dead right - pity they couldn't have got together
Here are some unusual 'rock lights' on a market stall; I might have entered them in the weekly theme but had already posted.

We went to the Electrical Museum yesterday. They had some really neat early electrical appliances. Here is a Beatty White Cap washer from 1922.

Don't ask me how it works, but it is one of the first electric washing machines.

Here is a tiny sample of the models that greet any visitor to my house. These were taken in response to someone else's fire engines, except theirs were in an actual museum. My house is as well apparently...

I had heard that ktstew was good artist, the photo proves it. Ren, your cookies look just like my mom's and Sat, I wish I had your models.

Teddy is ready for Christmas morning in his new robe, and is joined by a new friend, a gift to Winston from his friend Fergus (he's a schnoodle) when we went for pre-Christmas brunch last Sunday.

I went to the Christmas flower market and picked up some bargains. These were $HK100 each in my local shop. At the market I got 2 for 75. I do love Poinsettias, just so long as Gnawra doesnt chew on them, they are poisonous to dogs. They will get good care after Christmas, as Lina can put them in the garden. They grow into trees here.

That , to me, is the perfect tree, Jane. Such a nice shape and it looks so pretty.

Just stopped rushing round getting everything sorted! I have four extra dogs staying but three are just till this afternoon.

I love looking at the pictures, I was so hoping to get organised to do one a day---no chance!

However this is our tree along with Santa and (if you look closely) a reindeer next to him. It isn't real, I gave up on real ones when I ended up struggling in and out with it on my own with needles everywhere.

I looked out of the window and the sky was streaked with pink, I went and grabbed my camera and took a few photos but then the urge took me so I grabbed my car keys so here is Corbiere at sunset, again. Sorry.

How cool is this ? I finally (after a week) went out and collected the mail and this card was waiting for me out there (among others, but I haven't had a look at them yet...). Perfect "Boop-y" decoration for me ~ and handcrafted beautifully, too! I'll embarrass her (just a little ) and thank denni19 for this new keepsake in Gatsbyland!

It's a delightful image Sue, so why the 'Sorry'?
Here's mine for today, fancy a Christmas carousel?

Great photos everyone. Here's another from my visit to the electrical museum. It's an electric range from 1911.

Sorry because Corbiere features rather often. When you live on an island this small there is a limit to the photos one can take.

What Lynn, you couldn't have a real reindeer in your lounge?

Here's a nice corner in Hampstead Garden Suburb
