Ren, I thought of you immediately when I saw this in my National Geographic magazine. Check out the link, upper right side:

I think you have some beautiful shots of Hong Kong that you could submit. Thoughts?

Ooh yes, Ren, you should submit. Just think, we could see your name in National Geographic. Your photos are just as good as some they print. What a grand idea, djsgal.

I have looked at it and they have some stunning photos.

Before you think of submitting photos to them, and indeed to anywhere, read the small print. As far as I can see you are giving them a lot of rights, they can freely publish and print your photos and have free use of them - forever. They have the option to use them in ways which will make money for them. Unless I am missing it, I see nothing about them paying you a penny for the use. If seeing your photos in print is reward enough then fine. Just a warning.

Perhaps Ren is being shy, but I do believe she submitted a photo after all. Care to share with all, Ren?

Well I did put in the one of the Moongate, which I consider to be one of my best. It is an easy site to use, I don't know if they will show it though. There are thousands of entries.Thanks for your support.
