My grandson was born at 12:50 am 25th December 2007 weighing in at 7 pounds 6 ounces. Mother and baby doing well, father very proud and on his way home to collect the baby seat in order to take them home! No name as yet.

Happy Christmas to everyone.

Congratulations!

Poor kid, though. I've always felt sorry for the kids who have their birthdays so close to Christmas, you're bound to lose some birthday excitement in all the Christmas hype.

He was the first Christmas baby born in that hospital this year and so it is possible he might have his photo in the local newspaper.

Oh Sue - big big BIG congratulations from me an Mum!! Could it timed it's arrivel any more perfectly?
One of my cousins also celebrates her birthday today. It used to be "rather fun" in their house, with double presents for my cousin, then her other three sisters (two of which were Twins) openning all their presents. I am sure the baby will be adored.
Best wishes to the new Mum and Dad too
What a beautiful Christmas gift

Warm congrats, Sue!

7 pounds 6 ounces is a nice size. Are they required to give him a name before he leaves the hospital?

Thank you Santa, I really had been a very good girl this year and that was the very best present I could have received. A healthy baby and a safe delivery for my beloved daughter.

My father and I both fit in this category. Our birthdays are later this week.

My daughter does too, her birthday is on the 28th. The worst problem we found was that nobody ever came to her birthday parties when she was little - they were all out of town visiting grandma, etc. After a few years of that, we moved the party date to early Dec.
This year she had a party in the first week of December, and, since she is getting theatre tickets for her birthday, will also have the fun of a trip to the city and a show in late January.

I know some Christmastime babies also celebrate a half-birthday so they have two separate occasions in the year, I am not sure if my daughter will be doing that or not. It is my son's birthday on 24th June so that might be a nice time to celebrate.

Congratulations Sue! He's absolutely adorable...I can see a lot of hearts breaking when he's a teenager and an adult.

He is the perfect gift for you and his parents.
