Have you attempted to "coin" your own words? Share them here....Since I have trouble coming with "fake answers" whilst making a quiz, I generally make up quite a few words...

Perhaps, we can come with a list of "Do-it-yourself Logo-fabrication" list...

1)-- Add "-oid" to any word you fancy...fancoidal
2) Take the roots from any Indian or Chinese word and add it to some Greek or Latin root...e.g.haoshize+ bio= bioshize.."Someone who enjoys life- or a hedonist"/.
3) Since Sanskrit and English is so similar- feel free to -transmiscegnate them...Padah(foot)....Ped(feet) --Pedestrian then becomes Padahestrian...

dopinessity (dopey'ness'ity), n. a condition of being beyond stupidity.

EXAMPLE: I don't listen to what you have to say because it seems like you are compelled by the invisible force of dopinessity to speak nonsense.

I had a computer program that generated a new one of these each day for my viewing pleasure. They're not mine, but here's my two favourites:

Elecelleration (el'e-sell'er-a'shun) - this mistaken notion that repeatedly pressing the elevator call buttons will make it arrive faster.

Blibula (blih'byou-la) - the spot on a dog's stomach, which, when rubbed, causes his leg to rotate wildly.

I just lost my balance on my chair while talking to someone and a new word came out of my mouth.

dayalalalah (day'a'la'la'la)v. you, stop laughing and help me now before I break my neck.

EXAMPLE: (while trying to keep your balance yell) "Dayalalalah!"

The word is really an entire sentence containing a noun, verb, and adverb- I'm telling you, it's all you need.
NOTE: Although the helper will understand the help part, the stop laughing may go over their head. What can you do?

Digitalorrhea (v.) The act of typing copious amounts with no thought involved!

I've suffered this disorder from time to time, I must say!

Digatalogorrhea is a funny word,,,since we have "Logos" which means "reason" rather than word....and rhea-meaning to flow...

Another interesting word is sophomore- a wise-fool/ from Sophia- meaning wise and moros- foolish

This is cool...I made up some words:

Ferabby (fer.ab.bee) adj. 1. A mix of one who is crabby and weird. v. 1. To be peaceful one minuet and then snap at the hand that feeds you.

exp. Man! You're so ferabby to day!

Boiey (boy.e) n. 1. A red, dog's toy.

exp. OK pooch, lets play with the boiey.

Zador (Za.door) n. 1. An alien race that has implants in their body that do all sorts of things. They destroy other races by sucking the life out of them and turn them into a Zador.

exp. The Zador is coming. Run!

(If you want more info on the Zador (because I made up a whole story about them) e-mail me at: andrewronzino.fom@startrekmail.com )

'Nurple'

The resulting physical condition of a clandestine, surprise, kindergarten sortie, upon a fellow pupil. Culminating in copious amounts of 'grizzling', much 'whaling' and 'gnashing of teeth'.

In brief.........
An infant school prank, whereby, myself and fellow conspirators, would join forces, to inflict maximum physical pain upon an unsuspecting classmate. By means of a subtle 'clockwise' twist of the index and second finger, upon the nipple of our unsuspecting victim. Thus, turning 'said' nipple, purple.

Literally...'A Purple Nipple'.

wez
'Now......that's gotta hurt!'

Hey.......I was only 6!

conscienitus (con-sha-night-ess)
A situation in which, regardless of the course of action take, the outcome will be unfavourable for yourself.

eg: You realise you've promised to babysit for your sister while she goes out for the night (the poor girl hasn't been out for months! She deserves a rest!) Then you find out that one of your favourite bands is playing on that night (and these guys wont be in the country again for YEARS!!)There are still tickets available. These are your options:

1) Babysit, and miss seeing your favourite band, knowing you probably wont get another chance to for ages, and they'll probably play all your favourite songs; or
2) Go to the gig, but will you really be able to enjoy it knowing that your sister had to cancel her night out, and is sitting at home with her little heart broken?

You, my friend, are suffering from a mild case of "conscienitus"!!
(there are, of course, better examples, but my head hurts too much to think of one. I'm going home.... )

gosh they all sound so intelligent - my word is one i hear frequently said in glasgow when i first moved over here in 1988:

Doofer or Dooferdang : a word referring to an object that u've 4gotten the name of

ie: "i cannae find the dooferdang - u know what i mean, the doofer"

as i have only lived here for about 13 years, i'm sure there'll be a canny scotswo/man who will remember it differently, but this is how i remember it.

u don't get much doofer or dooferdang anymore, ..it's a shame

i also have another word:

Irrids

it is taken from 'Shirley Valentine' and i use it to describe anything that makes my skin crawl (and say yuck!!)

so i say that it 'gives me the irrids' or 'mega-irrids'

i love using this word and my friends use it too
