picqero, What gorgeous creatures! Their "backs" make me want to burrow in, they look so fluffy and cushy. That is a lot of candy, Sara! How would you ever know which ones to choose? Sandy

Great cars, djsgal! Has anyone ever seen a rainbow on the ground? Yesterday while in Southern California, after leaving all the rains behind, I got this shot. This rainbow was practically on the ground and was really neat looking. The photo just doesn't do it justice. A different view of it on the ground.

That is amazing Lisa! I wonder what causes that. We get some weird and wonderful sights on here don't we? A bit boring today. These are samples of HK public transport. The red cabs only ply from Town and the green ones are for the NT(New Territories). Red ones charge more on the meter, and this one must have cost its passenger quite a bit and it is waiting in the northern NT (Fanling) for someone to take it back to town. The green minibus companies are privately run. They hold 16 people and you have to hail them. There are not many places that you cannot get one. This one will go around our villages and back. They are very cheap. There are also red minibuses which are Government controlled and run mostly in Town.End of lesson

ClaraSue, your rainbow on the ground is amazing. And funny too, because my husband and I were just talking the other day about rainbows on the ground, and how my dad had seen one once in New Mexico, and then there's your photo! Really good shot. My oldest daughter Erin, who's almost 11, just completed an art course that she really enjoyed. Here's some of the art that she brought home. Larger view

I know that view very well TW, I've been there regularly and you also have Debenhams behind you there. Here is a view of this side of Hampstead from Golders Hill Park. If anyone has a few million to spare they can live here, it's literally one of the most expensive areas in the world.

Sans the snow, seems like we are having the same weather, Liz. It's been extremely windy here the last two days. We had a wind gust clocked at 54mph on Monday, and the sustained winds was at 46mph! It was only about 25mph today, but will increase again tomorrow.

Well CNY is nearly here and it is a case of how mnay times do I have to refill this tray of sweets before the day? I have to make lots of trips to the market as I never buy enough , especially the candied coconut, melon and ginger.

It's the end of January so this thread is now locked. A new thread has been started for February's photos. Thanks to everyone.
