Hello everyone!

My family says I spend too much time on FT and not enough time cooking and washing clothes; I say the freezer's full and they know how to use the microwave and the washing machine... ;-))

I enjoy this site tremendously and it gives me a chance to make use of all that "useless" knowledge acquired from years of sleeping with dictionaries and encyclopaedias under the pillow as a child.

The sheer diversity of the quizzes never ceases to astound me; maybe one day I'll be able to remember who was the Greenberg Gremlins' hero in the last quarter of the 1863 Superduper Bowl match - but I doubt it (I can't get to grips with Brit-sport, let alone any other country's)!

From the High Fells of Northern England, greetings to all on this great site.

Welcome, highfells ! By the sounds of it, you are definitely among friends over here. I think a large portion of us have rusty, unused washing machines and generally neglected stoves/refrigerators .
Have fun!

Ah, welcome! I may not know how to work my oven, but I know enough about Star Wars to construct my own Death Star. (except for the parts that I need.... ) Useless information? We will see!

Good morning, Highfells. Welcome to the place where operating large household appliances is not nearly as important as remembering the lyrics to A Chorus Line or discussing how to deter nuclear war. All the best to you. .

Belated hi, highfells - I like your attitude. I have a sign on my wall "Dull Women have immaculate houses" ;-)

and I have one that says "a clean house is the sign of a broken computer" (Whatever makes them think I clean the house when the computer is down? I read , or watch TV for goodness sake! )
Welcome, Highfells!

Welcome, highfells and glad to see you found the forums, cmt, since I've gotten to know you on the Chatboards. You're all speaking of neglecting cooking, laundry, etc. I have to say, I am amazed that when my soon (hopefully) to be ex-husband filed divorce papers on me, one of the reasons listed wasn't "too much time on FT"! After all, it would have been the ONLY one that was true! Sandy

Welcome Highfells, I think I must have one of those sort of memories as well as I'm sure you sent me a compliment on one of my quizzes! Glad you found this part of the place now, there's a lot more to keep you from the housework here!

Hello Highfells and cmt101. My wife once complained that I spent far too much time on FT. So I bought her a painting set; haven't seen her since. Around somewhere - I 'spose.
