What are the best days to fly as far as fares are concerned? Just wondering - I don't fly that often, and I am also a cheap %&*#$)/.

Fridays and Sundays are the most expensive, usually. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday tend to be cheaper. When we have gone on cruises, we have actually saved enough on flights (by either going a day earlier or staying a day later) to pay for the hotel room for the overnight stay. Also, the "red-eye" flights are often cheaper than ones at decent hours! If you don't mind that, you can save some money there also.
Probably the biggest factor is booking early enough ahead of time. Last minute flights will really cost you!
