On your computer, mine is in my Control Panel, you will have an option to go into your "Taskbar and Start Menu" and customize them. Below is the easiest way I can explain how to change what you are seeing. At the bottom you will see info about the "buttons stacking on top of each other" and how to resolve it. You may have something different, but this should start you in the right direction. Anything you do can be undone so don't panic if it looks wrong after the change. Sandy
1) Right-click an empty space on the taskbar. If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked. Unlock it by clicking Lock the Taskbar, which removes the check mark.
2) Point to the edge of the taskbar until the pointer changes into a double-headed arrow, and then drag the border up or down.
3) To stop grouping similar taskbar buttons on the taskbar:
Click to open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties.
If the Group similar taskbar buttons check box is selected, the buttons will automatically stack on top of each other. To turn off grouping, clear the Group similar taskbar buttons check box.
