Just a question, what exactly is a macro?

Hmm, I will explain this as succinctly as posssible.
It is a single computer instruction that combines many into a keystroke or short series of keystrokes. For instance (this is just for "example" and doesn't necessarily apply to their use), if typing a certain formula or sentence over and over is required, you can put it into a macro and save an immense amount of time as it is like shorthand for any set of program instructions. You used to have to do it all by "hand" but there are now built in macro playback programs, etc. that have made it user-friendly. Sandy
