I've got this weird message saying Netscape browser support will be leaving March 1st.
Does anyone know anything about this and what do I do?

Netscape is the only browser that seems to work right for me.

I wasn't sure if this is some kind of a trick to get me to download something bad.

Yes, support for Netscape is ending. I'm a bit surprised because Netscape 9.0 hasn't been around for very long. Netscape 9.0 was (is) based on Firefox 2.0 and updates for Netscape followed closely any security updates released for Firefox 2.0.

Netscape will continue to work but since it won't be updated anymore, it would be best to do as recommended here and switch to Firefox. SeaMonkey is another alternative if you prefer an 'all-in-one' suite that includes a browser and e-mail program.

More on the subject here (read the questions, answers and comments in the page).

This is a good article about it's demise, from the end of December, but still applicable. Sandy
