'My best photo ever' is a suggestion from ren33. Give it your best shot!

OK Whose daft idea was this? I just can't choose!
Here is one of the best. I have to put the link as it looks awful when small. It is a part of Hong Kong that isn't usually in the guidebooks and coffee table books. These are the steps up to one of the elite secondary schools . I like the way the light catches the buildings at the side.

Well, I don't know if I'd call it my best ever, but it is my personal favorite. I took this one day while with my family in Brugge, Belgium. Initially I just thought it charming to see these two women walking along and crossing the street together, so I quickly snapped it. However the younger woman then crossed back over the road and re-entered a shop. It was humbling to have witnessed such an unexpected act of kindness.

Those are BOTH awesome photos, ren and BurgGirl. I love the lighting on the steps and the brickwork on the Belgium buildings. How refreshing to see what the younger woman did also. I have a feeling I am really going to enjoy this week's thread! Sandy

I am spoilt for choice, I have several photos I really love and which make me proud to have taken but I guess this one is up there with the good ones.

How can a person really choose a best photo? This is a personal favorite that I took in northern Indiana in November 2005. I may have even posted it here before, but I can't remember. (Sheesh, this bad memory is going to be my undoing some day!) I had it blown up, printed off and professionally framed as a Christmas gift for my sister that year. A larger version and you can see the water droplets on the fence.

I don't know if this is my best ever photo, but it's one I'm proud of because I sat for the longest time waiting for this lovely butterfly to land where I could get this shot. It was 45 minutes of sitting waiting and hoping for her to pick the right flower.

Thanks, argus. Your patience paid off; that photo is just gorgeous. One of the reasons I got a new camera this year is because I'd like to get some close-ups like that one. I haven't had much luck yet, but I'm still trying.

I honestly haven't a clue which is my best photo ever, but this one was accepted for publication in a book on photography.
I saw these sand covered sunglasses on a Queensland beach, and thought they looked quite interesting. The photo is named 'sandglasses'

Picqero, that sunglasses photo is great - but my favorite photo of yours is your sunset that you saw while yachting.

This is a old photo of my now 19 year old daugher, I took with a point and shoot so I had to scan it to get on here. I wish it had been centred more but it is a favorite of mine and one of the best I have taken
