Here are some beautiful Orchids we saw while on our recent trip to Hawaii.

They look gorgeous. I love orchids.

I am just back from a weeks vacation in the Pyrenees. Unfortunately we didn't have as much snow as we'd have liked so instead of skiing we went sightseeing towards the end of the week. Here's a photo of the beautiful view taken at Gavernie on the border of France and Spain.

My daughter brought home her class pet, Kibbles the hamster, for the weekend. Our dog Ellie was very curious about what was in Erin's hand!

What a sweet little hamster. It's nice the school will allow the children to take him home otherwise I'm sure he'd get lonely over the weekend. I hope Ellie's not the jealous type!

This was taken last weekend in Biloxi, Mississippi. The white sand on the beaches make it look so inviting.

Kibbles is cute! I like that schools allow classroom pets to go home on weekends for sleepovers. It's a nice way for kids to learn what the responsibilities are for having a pet.

1st March is St. David's day, the patron saint of Wales, so here's an image of the Welsh national flag.
The red dragon of Wales was the battle emblem of Prince Cadwaladar of Gwynnedd, and the white and green were the colours of Prince Llewellyn.

Great flag picqero, my mum was Welsh so I knew today was St. David's Day. Now I need to get a leek.

Mothering Sunday here in UK. I returned from shopping to find this lovely surprise delivery from my son.



My daughter cooked lunch for me today too, also as a surprise.

We had our Sunday Roast a day early. I could get used to this.

Here is a picture I recently took which I though Satguru might be interested in since he likes looking at houses. This house was built in the 1970s in a quiet cul-de-sac in suburban Perth (not far from where I live) and has always been a bit of a curiosity among the locals.

To the best of my knowledge, only two of these "houses of the future" were built - this one and another one in a different suburb which was built up on "stilts" (for lack of a better term) and really looked like a flying saucer. That second one no longer exists. This house is a little run down and neglected now, although people do live in it.

The only housing I have ever seen more unusual than this would have to be the cube houses in the Netherlands.

This one is mostly for agony, to show the part of the river that is frozen. This was taken yesterday, and I'm on the opposite side of the river to my usual spot, and about two blocks downstream. You can see the water flowing over the wee dam from under the ice, and the ice boom is just out of picture to the right. Just beyond that is the open water that features in most of my pics of the river, so I wouldn't fancy venturing out on the ice for any reason.

It has been quite a long cold winter for Hong Kong, and so it is a joy to see the sun again in this rather scruffy corner of my garden.

That house looks more like some of my old school buildings MG, I'd be interested to see what it's like inside now.

No, that ice doesn't look safe... That's more what I'm used to seeing, in a winter river, though. If the wind dies down a bit this afternoon, I'll go out and get a picture of our river, so you can see all the snowmobile tracks.

Mrs. Argus took this shot at the National Park on Maui. She waited and waited for this fellow in the orange shirt to move but he seemed fascinated with the surroundings, so she gave up and took the shot. We were both worried about him because he is very close to the edge of the cliff and it was very windy.

My grand-daughter took a one day rock climbing course, and loved it. I'm hoping she'll take to this sport.
This is on a fairly complex outdoor climbing wall.

Well I have mentioned Mum so many times on this forum. And seeming it's Mothers day ....

There she is, with flowers I got her Happy Mother's Day to all Mums!

This is another pic from my walk the other day. People in this town seem to have a 'thing' for putting vehicles on top of their places of business.

In loving memory of our baby Re who left us on Saturday - far too soon. We will miss you.
