Lady1, so sorry to hear about your sweet Re. Lovely collies, picqero! This was my birthday cake from a couple of weeks ago. (Thanks for the nice wishes, Liz, by the way! ) It was chocolate/peanut butter, and delish.

Going back to the frozen "theme," this is sleet that is on my fence. I could have gone a few more weeks then would not have had to see any all winter! Edit to add: here's what my car looked like at 9pm: Snow

Sorry to hear about your dog, Lady1. Mothergoose, that house is not unlike what my kids call 'the Mushroom house' about a kilometre away from us. The 'mushroom' house is a wooden, UFO-shaped house and looks fascinating. I believe it's a doctor's surgery and I must make an effort to photograph it for this thread! Thanks for 'reminding' me. For now I'll post another shot from the Pyrénées, this time the Town Hall in Cauterets:

When we visited the Island of Kauai there were chickens wandering everywhere. Apparently when the last Hurricane went through several years ago many of the family chickens escaped. No one had time to try and recapture them and they went wild. This beautiful fellow was wandering around the Waimea Canyon lookout.

Hello everyone! I thought I'd join in with your nice company. I don't have a digital camera, so the photos are from my archive My son walking on the Moon (Actually, this was taken by his Dad, so I've no idea where it was...)

I thought this geranium was white last year when I planted it . Quite a nice pink, if you like pink, which I don't. I hate pink. Heres the larger flar.Ooops! Welcome, Margarita!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts at this difficult time. Ren I had a white geranium but I think the bees change the colour when they pollinate them. Hard to find too. Liz, that store is so beautiful and I love the cats pillow. Cinnamon your Maggie is the cutest! Piqero, those collies are lovely, lucky girls.

Down at the campground today. The dog and I were walking along the snowmobile tracks, as it was much easier than slogging through deep snow. As you can see from these tracks, we weren't the only ones!
I'm drooling at this sight. Years ago, when we had regular snow, even in southern England, I enjoyed cross-country skiing. Unfortunately that's been impossible for years The nearest thing we have to snow nowadays are these snowdrops which grow in the shady parts of my garden.

Sorry to hear of your loss Lady. Your Re looked precious. Agony, when I first looked at your photo, I thought you had captured a bear in your lens. Welcome Margarita! ClaraSue and I had been out for a lengthy walk and she could barely keep her eyes open later. I must exercise her more!

Welcome Margarita This is the view from our hotel room in Hawaii. Waikiki is behind all the tall buildings. I couldn't afford the beach front hotels. A nice view all the same.

Ha! No, that's my very hairy dog. He was pretty interested in all those deer tracks - when you walk a spaniel, it's nose down, all the way.
