More of the campground - I'll try to remember to show you a summer shot, in a few months.

I liked the sun and shadows in this one of Bridge Street, snapped whilst I was waiting for the bus this afternoon after seeing a movie matinee.

Spring has definitely arrived; a pretty group of crocuses - or is it crocii!

Actually it is "croci" or crocuses, but who cares? They are gorgeous and make me yearn for spring when my own will come up! That's also a neat pic, spanishliz, and with a "blue" sky that I haven't seen much of lately.

Great shame about your dog Lady, very sad news.

Photobucket is now working, here's a nice floral shot in Hampstead Garden Suburb

I just realized looking at Sat's post that I forgot to say how very, very sorry I was to hear about your dog, Lady. My heart goes out to you. Sandy

Back in the market town of Swaffham again for a shot of one of two local wind-turbines which I believe are (or were till recently), the tallest in UK. You will see how it dwarfs the mature oak trees.

Hey, I've been right to the top of that wind-turbine; it's at the Ecotech Centre in Swaffham. There's a control room at the top, which you can just see below the rotor blades pivot, and it's quite a climb up the narrow spiral staircase inside the column. The blades are huge when viewed close up, and are hollow so that maintenance technicians can climb right inside - though not while they're rotating of course

Well done you! I'd like to go to the top but those 300 steps have always put me off. I don't find these wind turbines at all unattractive and think these two very large structures add something to the landscape as well as being 'green'. I believe they provide nearly all the energy for the town's need. It is also very quiet.

Photobucket is driving me nuts! Took half an hour (due to freezing up of browser, refusal of images to load, etc.) to do what has normally taken me half a minute! Arrgh!

Anyway, here's Winston, giving me the cold shoulder because I'm just on my way out the door without him.

Thank you all for you kind words. The sad part is we still don't know for sure why he died. The vet who did the autopsy says it was not poison and our vet (who was away at the time) thinks he may have eated toxic mushrooms. Dont think we will ever know for sure.

Love all those spring flowers!

Liz he looks like he is sulking.

The photobucket site has certainly changed, though it still took less than 2 minutes to upload, resize and download the link. Now let's see if it's worked
Continuing my garden flowers theme, this is Ribes Sanguineum, a Spring flowering shrub. This is a macro shot as the whole flowerhead is only about 1 cm (1/2 inch) across!

Now this is what I call a house. I came upon this little road completely by accident when I was looking around for some more to take and found a whole row of them.
It's in Hampstead and would cost around £5 million if the similar ones I know are compared.

Great photos lately; I love Winston's cold shoulder.

We had a great time yesterday at the Santa Anita racetrack. This horse, Awesome Feat, won me some money when he came in 2nd place in the first race!

Liz your Winston is a real card. Great shots everyone. This shot I took on the beach of Waikiki. The certainly do like surfing there.

Talk about opposites! Here's what the median on Main St. in Frisco looked like about 4:30pm yesterday.

Yes, it does snow in D/FW...granted not that often.

Been snowing here again today, too. This was taken several hours ago, and it hasn't stopped yet...

What a great shot, liz. I heard on the news that you were in for a dump - are you in the area that's getting the worst of it?

We haven't got snow, but here are some nice snowdrops - photographed yesterday when it was sunny. Today is cold and overcast.

No snow here; in fact it's been quite springlike lately. Here are some crane flowers that I saw the other day. (Also known as bird-of-paradise.)

We get drizzle here rather than snow, and no shortage today.

This is the view I saw for 3 years from the gate of my old school in Hampstead. I was there yesterday to return a library book I found after 36 years. Better late than never...
