I was quite interested in how people write their own fonts and wondered if anybody knew how. I have had a quick look on the internet and I know that you can turn your own handwriting into a font. However, I was wondering about how you actually design fonts on the computer itself. The method may be similar, but does anybody know about any specific programs (prefferably free, if I have to download them. )

I would run a Google search for "font maker". There are hundreds of font making software applications out there.
