Salinger is my favorite author. I've read all of his (limited) works, and would love to hear some feed back on what you think of them. I mean, what exactly WAS Holden's deal? And why did Seymour go ahead and off himself? Tell me your thoughts.

Actually, I'm in the middle of one of his books and though I think he has a good writing style, I get really annoyed at the, uh, "foul language." Honestly, he makes sure that there's at least one or two cuss words in every sentence! It gets tiring to read...what's your favorite book of his? Maybe I'd like it more than what I'm reading now, Catcher in the Rye.

Catcher in the Rye was so controversial partly because if it's language and content (when released). I would suggest "Nine Stories", it's true to title, just nine short stories, well written, easy reads that are enjoyable.
