It is Mothering Sunday here for us, I know it isn't for the US and Canada but don't know about the rest of the world.

I was out all day yesterday but found two envelopes on my mat when I arrived home. One was a card from my daughter who tells me that my gift ought to be arriving by courier and she had expected to arrive on Saturday. The other envelope contained my first 'Granny card' from Alex together with a ceramic coaster which has his footprint and date of birth, aw how cute is that?

When I was out in town yesterday shaking my collection tin I noticed lots of people carrying flowers, it took a while for the penny to drop that it was for today. Once it did I phoned my startled son-in-law (startled as I used my mobile and I never normally use it) to ask if Alex had bought his mummy a card - which he had. In fact Alex is obviously a well-bred and thoughtful baby, he not only bought mummy a card but organised daddy to give her breakfast in bed (smoked salmon and scrambled eggs) then mummy had to dash off to have the massage and other treats he had booked for her! Daddy was also going to change all the nappies today.

So ladies, anyone else get anything nice today?

As well as the lovely flowers and lunch - images in Photo-a-day thread, I also received a Next voucher and more flowers plus a treat mid afternoon - food again! Will try to post a picture later. I haven't lifted a finger all day.

My daughter,'mummy to be', even had a card from Phoebe, who isn't due to arrive for another 5 weeks but who somehow went shopping and found one after searching high and low for such an item.....

A very Happy Mothers' Day to everyone.

Mum was well and truly spoiled, as it is also her birthday today. All Mothers need spoiling!

Today my present arrived, it was due on Saturday.

My son-in-law left it a bit late to order a box of very expensive chocolates for me (and one for his mother and one for my daughter), realising this he cancelled the orders and re-ordered using the priority system. Ah, but he must have cancelled too late as all three of us received TWO boxes each! My daughter contacted the company when she received two boxes and explained what had happened and they said to accept them with the compliments of the company - oh yummy!

I am now awash with gorgeous low-sugar chos.
