Replying to myself
I think this is a mixture of both - lowlight and highlight. It's two years today, since Dad died. Obviously that is the low point. Me and Mum miss him so much - he really was a special person. But me and Mum have got through these two difficult years, with the help of family and friends. And a lot of people on here have helped too. Highlight is booking our holidays for the end of July. We're going to Torquay, somewhere where I had wanted to go for some time

You are in my thoughts at this difficult time Jane.
How lucky you and your Mum are having a new family member to love and a lovely holiday to look forward to. Hope Torquay is wonderful.

I have a high today that I have been keeping a bit quiet about, on here, at least.
Today I signed my bit of a contract that makes me the English Principal of a secondary school here. Quite exciting. I know my mum and my dad would have been thrilled.
The job starts on August 1st, well that's when I go on the payroll. I am preparing a lot of stuff already. I am off for a month's break in UK on June 23rd. Then back at the end of July into the fray! Wish me luck!

Great job, Sara? You will still be teaching, right, not just administrating?

That is wonderful news, Sara, and I think you deserve the "booze cupboard" unlocked for at least a week to celebrate.

Congratulations, Sara! What wonderful news. When you and Sue break out the booze, let us know and I'll break open mine, too!

Sandy, sorry to hear about Jordan's broken tooth and that it needs to be pulled. Good news, though. ClaraSue healed up quite fast and nicely with hers. Now she's just as ornery as ever!

Thanks, ClaraSue. I'm not worried about her, well maybe a little because she is 11, but in excellent health and I have an outstanding group of vets I've been with for years. I am so happy to here your Clara Sue is up and running! Sandy

Yippee Congratulations, Ren!
I am very happy for you knowing that your hard and dedicated work over the years didn't go unnoticed. You're an excellent choice for that job and those people are very smart .

Sandy, I am sorry to hear about your doggie. Mine is 13 years old and still in great shape but I am so scared at the thought of something happening to him. Hope everything goes well and Jordan is back to normal very soon.

Lioness, fingers crossed for your friends to get well as quick as possible.

And Jane... when you reach Torquay please send my regards to Mr. and Mrs. Fawlty .

High of the week...my friends were at school again today.

Low of the week is that two of my school excursions clash, and I have to choose between helping out with babies at a childcare and performing on flute and piano at an old folks' home.
I think I'm going to have to choose the childcare excursion, as it is being assessed. I'm hoping another performance will come up, because I was really looking forward to performing with the flute ensemble for the first time. Now they will miss their second 4th flute.

Oh lioness I'm sure you will make the right choice.

My high and lows this week were thurs, fri and sat.
Thursday was my step-fathers birthday, he has been dead 2 years now.
Friday was my Grans birthday, she has been gone almost 25 years.
Saturday (today) is my 2nd FT Anniversary. Happy Anniversary to me. *Cake and candles to follow*

A major low today as I had to say goodbye to my cat Lucy after the vet found a huge liver tumour. She was a very good friend for nearly 9 years and had a good life after arriving as a stray.
There's no need to say anything here, I just wanted everyone to know.

Ohh, Satguru, I'm so sorry to hear about Lucy She was a beautiful cat. But she had a very good life with you, and that's very important.

Oh David. I don't even know what to say. You've written about Lucy for years...I even named my own kitten Lucy because of her -it seemed like such a fine cat name. I'm so very sorry.
Was she in pain at all?
