I am looking for songs that contain the word "boat" or songs that are about sailing. Any ideas?

Probably a good idea to post this under "Games and Challenges," belias! There are lots of people there who would love to help you.

UK folklore is absolutely bulging at the seams with such compositions, which happen to be some of my personal favourites.
You might simply try looking up 'sailing songs' online. You'll get a result numbering in the hundreds with all kinds of links.

Not to Games and Challenges as that if for when you KNOW the answer and are testing members.

Music might be an ok forum - moving it to that one. Failing that, as ktstew says try searching online.

How about "Michael Row the Boat Ashore"? Singer Trini Lopez covered it, among other artists.

The Scottish traditional 'Mingulay Boat Song', and though not about boating but contains the word: 'Sit down, You're rocking the boat' from the musical 'Guys and Dolls'.

Yes we did and I for one learned a lot of new songs and looked up the histories behind them. It served it's purpose in that way!
