IN DC, officials trying to evict a woman found her four children decomposing. It's still unknown exactly when they died and they could have been starved to death. Apparently, the woman believed that the kids had the devil in them and as the children grew weaker, so did the devil.

Similar story on Long Island a few weeks ago, a mother who was mentally unstable was at home with her three kids and ended up killing them.

Ah this is why the papers publish these sad, sick stories, because they know they'll get a reaction and people will talk about them. Therefore, sadly, such stories sell papers- and too many newspapers are full of this stuff these days. Even major news sources are getting a nasty tabloid feel to them, and little of any real relevance to the citizen after we've filtered through all the horrors.

Their place is really in psychiatric/pyshocology journals and texts.

I don't mind hearing about the information, it's true life, but I don't like two pages a day of the paper taken up for a week on the same horrific story.

That's how I feel about the Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan stories. I don't get any pleasure from reading about women who kill their children, but I certainly care less for reading the same tabloid trash about drunken starlets.
