OK, I asked this in the movie and tv forum also, but thought I would try here.

Am trying to find out what classic American novel had the last line of the book as "The moon." It was filmed as a movie and also a TV movie, but not sure where to look anymore. Thought it was Apollo 13 but do not think that is considered a classic American novel? Any clues, places to look authors I can research???????

It is the last line of James M. Cain's "Double Indemnity". Walter and Phyllis, the murderous lovers, promise to kill themselves aboard ship when they see the full moon. Frankly, I like the 1944 Billy Wilder film much better. tjoeb};>
