I just heard someone had been thrown out of the Magic Circle because he learnt how to beat the three card trick, and must have passed this on or he wouldn't have been thrown out, the only one ever I seem to remember.

I'd have thought this revelation would be online by now (especially as it's only used to steal money from people after all, not by genuine magicians) but apparently they've so far managed to keep it quiet.

Unless, as they said on That's Life, you know differently. Has this discovery reached the public? If you know then let's reach even more of them. You can then walk down Oxford Street with £100 and beat them for a change (assuming they're still there after 30 years).

I have found some nice descriptions how it is done wikipedia page and a couple linked from it (not exactly the same though) so presumably if you do the opposite then you are half way there. But let's see if we can find the complete formula rather than have to try and work it out ourselves.
