This is an interesting little game my dad found. It tests your knowledge of capital cities, famous places, and locations of famous events.

At about level 6 it gets near impossible unless you are very familiar with African geography, which unfortunately I am not.

Good luck

Yep, I got to level 6, also. I can't even get most of the African ones in the correct country, let along figure out where the city is! Up until then I did pretty well.

The problem may be that the hyperlink (the bit in blue which is underlined) is incomplete,

news.com.au/perthnow/index/1

is not the full adress, you need to add the part which is in black and not part of the hyperlink,

news.com.au/perthnow/index/1,21581,5015022,00.html

I can't seem to get there either, it gives me 'page not found' and the directory. Hmm...

Sandy , just copy paste the whole address, not only the blue bit, into an address bar. Should be OK then.

I reached Level 11, and could not get into the last level. I needed 55,000, and only got 52,300.

I finally got up to level 8, but can't get past it - it's definitely Africa that's tripping me up!

Reached Level 12 (the last one) but didn't pass it, only got 45789 of the required 60000.

Must admit, however, that I've been playing this very challenge (and other even more specific ones) on Facebook for some time

Wow. You are all really good at this. Cinnam0n, I can't get the african ones into the correct country either. I get South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, and something else, and that's it.

Got to level 11, Traveler IQ - 122. Christmas Island was my worst (10,000km+). Santiago (Chile) my closest - more by luck than anyhing else (47km).

My closest has been Edinburough (I can't even spell it) and I was 2km away.

My furthest I can't remember what it was but it was over 16 000 km.

I won't embarass myself, even though I'm usually not stopped from doing so, by telling any of you what my score, after repeated attempts, was. I will say this. It reinforces why geography is and always has been my downfall! I am bound and determined to improve that though, by playing this over and over. Thankfully, I can read maps quite well and rarely do I get lost. Just be grateful I am NOT responsible for mapping out a European or African trip for any of you!

Can't get past level 6 at the moment. I seem to have turned Asia upsidedown.

I tried the North American challange too, and boy, am I pitiful! Sorry, Canada.

Getting better. Hard to get really close at low res. I keep mixing up Colombia and Ecuador, and the Eastern Europe stuff is tough.

Fun. I played twice and got to Level 7 and just missed Level 8 by a couple of thousand points. The timing bar made me panic a couple of times and I clicked the wrong place!

I'm good with the geography of any Spanish-speaking countries since I have to teach it, but I'm not so good with some of Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa.

First try, got to level 9 - and missed getting into level 10 by about 50 points. Mauritius got me, I was way way way over on the other side of Africa. China is the worst for me - I think next time I'll just click in the middle of the country for all of the cities and then will never be TOO far away from the right place.

I'm not even trying too hard to get in the right spot exactly for places like Eastern Europe. Just going for fast and within 500 km.
