Yes, it snowed here as well - quite a change from yesterday when I posted an image of my grand-daughter cycling! I couldn't resist going cycling in the snow for a couple of hours though, and this was one of the views.

We've had a couple of lovely, sunny days, and I've been able to get my Mum, who is visiting for the weekend, to sit outside in the sun for awhile each day. Note the lingering snow in front of the porch.

It snowed again this morning, and stayed just long enough to get a few images. I thought this pink house nearby looked even better in the snow than it does normally!

On my travels today, I was in Grapevine, and saw this on my left. Talk about low-flying! This was at the intersection of Mustang Trail and State Highway 114/121.

Here is Strand on the Green in Chiswick on the River Thames, once busy with antique markets but now only the cafe remains. And some pretty expensive celebrity houses (including Ant and Dec not far away).

For fans of Penn State University and its Nittany Lions, here's a quick mid-March snapshot of Mount Nittany, named for the Native American maiden Nit-A-Nee who, in one night, caused the mountain to rise up in the valley.

This robin sat on the roof of my garden shed, just outside my window, for simply ages this morning. I watched him for at least fifteen minutes.

Some of you may recall that back in January's photo thread, I posted a photo of a piece of bushland near my home that was burned out by an arsonist. The original picture can be seen at:

Now, about 13 weeks later, the bush is regenerating, as you can see by the amount of green in this photo compared to the original. It's been a long dry summer but we've had some episodes of rain over the past two weeks and things are starting to look green around here.

The arsonist has not been caught to my knowledge.

No prizes for guessing where I have been for the past few days.

I was on a train crossing the Pennines this morning and we went through a lovely snowstorm, everything was gorgeous, trees, fields - lovely.

Baby is now fifteen weeks so growing fast.

It's been such a gloomy, rainy week while we've been in North Carolina this week. I went out today and tried to get some pictures of the ducks in the pond. While feeding them some bread and trying to get the color adjusted on my camera (which I failed dismally), I was set upon by these guys.

I love to take pictures! All of these are wonderful. Here is one of my cousin's baby girl I took Saturday.

One of my chores for the last couple of sunny afternoons has been to shovel my lawn. That is, I have been shovelling snow from the perpetually shady part of my front lawn into the late afternoon sun, to help the melting process along. This was taken as I sat on my front steps surveying my work.
