The end of "Assassin's Apprentice" makes me cry. I've read it twice and now all I have to do is look at the last page and it makes me tear up.

Memoirs of a Geisha - I had to stop and wipe away the tears so I could keep reading! A beautiful book.

There have been so many that I have read that bring a few tears. Harry Potter 7 is probably the last one. I was bawling near the end. Also the Green Mile and the end of Dreamcatcher are a couple of others.

No offense, but it was an romance book called 'She's on Top' by Susan Lyons. The ending and the love between the 2 main characters always brings a tear to my eye, it's so sweet and beautiful I can't describe it.

"Paradise Alley" by Kevin Baker (one of my all time favorite books) will put a lump in the thtoat of the most hardened heart. And when I was a kid "Where the Red Fern Grows" almost had me bawling.

The one I can think of that makes me positively weep is "The Kitchen God's Wife" by Amy Tan.

Not all the Holmes books make us cry but i cried when Aurthur Conan Doyle ended Sherlock Holmes. A bit of shock for me. Even for every avid fan of Sherlock Holmes.

The Horse Whisperer by Monty Roberts and Little Women by Louisa May Alcott are the only two books that have ever made me cry. The Horse Whisperer is an autobiography of Monty Roberts, a real life horse whisperer.

All Nicholas Sparks books make me cry. I just finished The Wedding and could hardly see by the last page.

well, for me the one book that absolutely killed me was "Marley and me" I don't think I have ever cried like that from a book. It was brutal.

Parts of "Dreams Made Flesh". There's a few points that always make me tear up.

It is ages since I sobbed audibly at the end of a book, but this one did it :
Dewie (The Library Cat) by Vicki Myron.
If you have or love cats , it is for you. He is such a vivid character and anyone with cat experience will recognise someone they know in him. It really is a lovely story.

A book that truly made me cry, as it was so heart-warming and extremely sad...I would recommend it for animal lovers: Where the Red Fern Grows: The Story of Two Dogs and a Boy, by Wilson Rawls....I was so shocked that I read it a second time!

I've read many, many books that made me shed a tear or two, but a couple of books that I have read and re-read many times are, "How Green Was my Valley", by Richard LLewellan. You can practically hear the Welsh lilt in the prose, and, "The Cruel Sea", by Nicholas Monsarrat about the corvettes which tried to protect the shipping convoys during the battle of the Atlantic. They also have many moments of humour, which, to me, makes for an excellent read.

Many books will bring a tear to my eye, but there are a couple that stand out as real tear jerkers for me
Watership Down is one. The Bridges of Madison County is another, I read it while travelling by train through Italy, even though I had hated the movie, I loved the book and it had me in floods.
The other book is one of my all time favourites - 'Th Adventurers' by Harold Robbins - yes it's pretty trashy, and a tad unrealistic, but the ending gets me every single time.
