Some bright material and some dull material:

A dull afternoon but a glimmmer of late afternoon sun brightens the muddy river bank.

What a beautiful photo, lilyalli. It has a look of serene and almost threatening at the same time.

Very bright light on the waves but a very dull sky.

This was the view, a few weeks ago, looking west over Llynnau Mymbyr in north Wales. Llynnau is the plural of llyn, meaning lake, and as the lake is almost cut in two it has been given the plural name! It was bright ahead, but pretty dull to the north and south.

It's been dull, overcast and raining today but the sun came out just as I was leaving work; it did a great job of lighting up this riverside restaurant which I pass on my way home. Couldn't resist stopping for a themed photo.

This is what our wheels look like after traveling through rain and snow. Dirty and dull.



Now this is what the wheels on the truck look like on most days. We try to keep them clean, polished and shiny.
