Nice pictures everyone. Liz the only thing missing is the tea (and an invitation to join you).

Another thing I bought on yesterday's shopping expedition was a couple of new chairs to go with my new outdoor table.
Must be a real treat to sit out in the sunshine, after your hard winter
I bought this malachite rhino, a few years ago, while working in Zambia. It's about 10 inches (25 cm) long, and would cost a lot more here in the UK.

Rose/Ella is gorgeous! Liz, that deck and sunshine look so inviting, but I prefer coffee over tea for my visit. PF, I have a few lilac trees in my backyard that make the whole house smell when the windows are open and they've always been a favorite of mine too. Ours in Ohio are just about done for this season. You have so many things from your travels, picqero, it's always a treat to see them.

My daughter and grand-daughter discussing high fashion with a newfound friend. There were about a dozen wallabies just lazing round, and a few emus wandering by.

A thoroughly miserable, cold, wet, and windy day today in south east England, though I gather it's very nice up north A good opportunity to post an image of the delightful multi-layered card Sue sent us, following the demise of our Chinchilla cat 'Aramis' Larger image hereApologies for the slight distortion, which is photographic, and not in the original.

I went with a friend to the closed border area today. You cannot enter without a special police permit and must be accompanied by a village resident. This area is interesting as it is between the two zones. Here are the Post Office bicycles for delivery to small villages, complete with Chinese sunhat! The post office was not big enough to swing a cat (more pics later) and the whole area was so interesting. web page about Closed Border Area

I know that rest area, dg_dave. Been there a few times myself. Liz, I love all your lilacs. The smell of lilacs is my favorite of all the flowers. My mother used to have three large bushes, each one a different color. White, light purple and dark purple. She was heartbroken when she moved and had to leave them behind. Another 'experiment' of mine, so to speak: a night photo. The light on the tree is from a street light not far away.

They are so much like the animales' we used to see in tiny village shops down in Guatemala, Picqero. Piled by the hundreds in dusty rooms, it was easy to see some had lain there for decades. Every conceivable animal you can think of - and some you can't. All painted with dots and stripes in bright colours -very similar to what you've posted. I really like the cats.

We've had company in town for several days, so I've not had a chance to post, but really enjoying all the great photos, as usual! You all never cease to amaze me with your interesting and unique shots. Yesterday we had a great day at the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles. A really fascinating place. Here is a sabertooth cat skull found in one of the pits.

This is the sweet shop outside my old school I went into most days for the 3 years I was there. Just the same nearly 40 years on. Lovely lilacs Liz, mine is just one colour and trying to take over the garden.
