I thought "A Murder Is Announced" was so much fun to read. I can honestly say that there hasn't been Agatha Christie that I didn't enjoy, for one reason or another. Like JaneMarple, the Poirot books are my favorite, but I very much enjoy the Jane Marple mysteries, too.You know, doesn't time change our ideas, sometimes? Way back when I answered to this thread, I said my least favorite book was "Curtain", but after reading it again, several years later, I really enjoyed it. I, like poor old Hastings, didn't figure it all out until the very end. I am amazed by all the plots that Agatha Christie came up with. She is still so popular today because she was, above all else, a good writer.Has anyone read the text to her play "Verdict"? It really shows how very versatile she really was.If I ever go to London, one of the first things I'd like to do is her play "The Mousetrap".
