Hi, I know Gerardmer as well as I lived in Alsace for two years and traveled around quite a bit. I don't remember there being a Bruyeres there but there are several in Normandy.

We are off to Alsace in a few days time - any must sees?

According to a friend of mine, wandering through the hills, Koenigsbourg and a monkey mountain are must-sees/dos. I'll try to take in some culture (Strasbourg, Besancon) and maybe parapenting. Who knows, it might rain and we will play cards all week.

Watch out for those blasted monkeys! My son had some biscuits or whatever they sold to you to feed them and the monkey attacked him for them!
It's kind of interesting.
Haut Koenigsburg is good as it's a bit like a movie set.
