I've got an even bigger problem. At first thought we had found someone to come and add more memory on my computer. We found out about these people from my sister and her husband the church they go to the people who work on the church computer. My mom just got off the phone with them, and they don't do residential computers, but since my brother-in-law did mention them, said they would do it. But of course wouldn't be anyone we could keep using for a repairman.
Anyways, the other problem is that they say the type of RAM mine has they don't make that kind anymore. About the most he can add is 1 GB. Which we were hoping to add more. He's looking around though to see if he can find some around and will call back if he finds it.

Does anyone know of a good trusting place to get PC800 RDRAM from?

I don't know, maybe I should just get a new computer if it will cost not much more than getting the older stuff. One of the big things I'm worried about is I keep hearing about so many problems with Windows Vista not working right with different stuff. So, not sure if it would even work right with different sites I go on, like Webkinz, Myspace,
and then I make websites at Geocities, Angelfire, and Tripod.
Who all here has Windows Vista?

Amy, we have told you before we cannot offer you computer help.

I do know that Vista works with most *general* websites.

Amy,
I have had Vista for over a year, love it, and have no problems going anywhere I want to or doing anything I want to. It just takes some getting used to as it is quite different. I have said it before and I will say it again, if you can afford one, get a new computer. I would also stop adding more repairmen into this equation as it seems to get worse each time and frustrate you all the more! You are throwing good money after bad attempting to resolve all that's wrong with the one you have now. Just another contribution of my $1.00 worth.

I hate having to make decisions about anything in life. Just seems so stressfull and too hard to do.
With the way everything is, seems like about every 5 years, you end up having to get a new computer.

Sorry, I thought that is was just on the other computer problem I was trying to ask about, on trying to figure out what was causing the CPU 100% problem about not being able to help me with.

I did get that problem solved though from another site that deals with just computer problems.

I realize though that no site out there can help with any physical things.
I've noticed on here that you all seem to have so many great suggestions for all kinds of issues.
With what I do know on computers, I have kept this computer going for 6 years without any problems up til now.

We would still need a repairman out here though to help get the hard drive wiped out of this one for security reasons of personal information before passing this computer down to my mom's friend who currently has my old Compaq computer-which has Windows 95. I can't even remember how much memory that one had.
