Clara Sue, it is really easy - just with that software, just a couple of clicks, honest. It does it all for you.
I wouldn't have the patience to do an animation like that manually, lol.
~glad it worked for you to see it.

Shelley,
I love the chapel and aren't you *Miss HotsieTotsie* with the animated reflection! That is really cool and I may download the program, depending on how much space it requires.

Thank you JD. i just remembered the 'reflet' - it takes hardly any space, is stand-alone, doesn't tie into any of your graphics applications. Forgot how much fun it is to create digital paintings, belonged to a digital painting group a few years ago. This is again, just various filters in PSP v.7. ps JD - i like your quote, i read all of his books - think his last one was called "One" ? ... so good.

One large photo of flowers blended in 30 steps to the same photo but smaller and with a drop shadow added. Lettering filled with the flower background. outlined and slightly bevelled. Messing about done in Xara Xtreme.

Telly, do you use Xara Xtreme Pro or Xara Xtreme Home?

Ooh, I like that one also, Shelley. Bach has quite a few books after 'One', which I loved, including a 'Reminders for the Advanced Soul' from Messiah.

tw, That is so 70's psychedelic! You could have made a fortune off posters back then.

This is a bit different. Xara 3D produced this. I only just got the program and this is just trying it out to see what it does. I wouldn't normally have bothered buying it but it was on offer until tomorrow because there's a newer version of the program now.

This one took a bit of creating. It is so complicated that the computer was stretched to the limit in resources. In the end, each slight adjustment was taking the program and the computer about 15 to 30 seconds to complete, so I had to stop modifying this 'n' that and declare the graphic finished. Just a bit of interest on a dull and chilly Saturday afternoon.

Super animations TW. I like the supposes roses, lol ... the forum ones with the page behind are a really creative idea and well done. Now you're colourful one ... wow. I imagine the graphic in landscape and it looks like the most beautiful 'fish'. Hope that's not just because I am hungry.

Jordandog, i had no idea he had written more since 'One' - but then it is many years ago since i read his work, i think " J L S " came out when i was in my teens - and that is MANY moons ago. Thank you for letting me know that, i might start reading that genre again ...

great art here everyone, it is so fun to play - especially on those "dreary" afternoons, i know!

Thanks mc_shellsie. The weather was wet and miserable again here today, hence another graphic .

I find animated gifs interesting things. They look one picture but are really a number of images being shown one after another. The animated gif above consists of 27 separate pictures being shown at 7 pictures a second (including the seemingly static background). No wonder the file size tends to be large.

It couldn't be too physically large because of file size. A bigger picture would take too long to load. The detail in the background photo, looks rather 'flat'. That's because there are only 16 colours in it, which also helps to keep the file size down.

Very, very cool, tw. The complicated and colorful one made me think of a *Center of the Universe* type thing.

I like the butterfly effect, Shelley! Gee, that soundes like a good movie plot and title...

(For anyone not familiar, 'The Butterfly Effect' was a movie a few years ago. I haven't completely lost my mind.)

Attempting play in photoshop with coloring and to add a few graphics to some of my winter photos to serve as Christmas cards, which can be done with half fold papers and the printer.

TW, I never tire of looking at your creations. Shelley, the butterfly photo is fantastic. And Tredici, I love the Christmas card your photo made. That is a wonderful idea and how great it turned out! I'm going to have to see if I can't find something along those same lines to do for the holidays.

I've really been enjoying the image art. Inspired by Tredici, I used a photo of a "gingerbread house" cake display from a couple of years ago and applied the pastel application from Virtual Painter.

With excellent results! You would be hard pressed to make the recipient believe that is a photo of yours. It does make a sweet and whimsical card.
