Disintegration (Note: Some cheesy poem written for 'A Celebration of Young Poets' compilation, 2005).
why do you believe that you can take our lives away? / why do you just think that you can make me feel this way / you've made our hopes disintegrate / I'm so fed up with all your lies / my vision's turning into black and white / the colours that you make me see / we can't let our present disintegrate / a pain in all my past; I find / I'm tired of your shades of pale / but they're coming back and haunting me / so why do i run from you? / as our lives turn so dark? / as if our dreams will ever be true / i can't believe that you wouldn't tell me the truth / i find nobody else to take your place / I watch as we can't turn around / I'd hate to see you come back / but this relationship just won't disintegrate.


Start to an End
maybe everything we once had / just isn't supposed to come back / maybe it's time to put a start to the end / and quit doing what we once did


In Some Time
maybe you'll soon realize / that I'm not coming back to you / it's completely your fault / that we ended up this way / but maybe in some time / we can end the suffering / we can make up for the breakdown / and fill in the emptiness


Go Back to It All
don't make us go back / and revisit all those memories / don't make me look out for all of these signs / because we both know that it's unnecessary / because what we want / it just won't happen anyway


Sweet Simplicity
you've been denying me everything that I've asked for, for so long / so i guess that it's time to let go / maybe we shouldn't destroy the basic formula / cause everything's alright the way it is / in sweet simplicity


Just a small sampler. Actually, I wrote all of those but Disintegration last night. I've had a severe writer's block lately. (roughly a month). Any improvement suggestions?

"Mum, I'm bored."
"Well, what would you like us to do?"
"Dunno."
"Let's make up a picnic and go to the zoo,
Or build us a castle of cardboard and glue."
"Naa, I think those are all dumb things to do.
I'm bored."

"Mum, I'm bored."
"Well, what do you want me to say?"
"Dunno."
"Just go down the farm and help feed cows their hay,
Or go to the pictures the rest of the day."
"Naa - can't be bothered with that anyway."
I'm bored."

Painted toes.
Broken hearts.
Just a few side effects of you.

Not daddy's perfect girl.
You changed it all.
My heart longs for yours.
Wont you stop breaking me?

No you wont.
Your not any different.
Why did I think you would be?
Because you said so.
Or because you held me like you were.

But now I know.
Your all the same.
So I'll keep my heart safe.
And not let you in.

Oh I wish it was true.
But I will always let you in.
Because Im just a silly girl.
And your a boy with a heart.
That I long for.

--I wrote that a couple of weeks ago for a friend that was having some insane boy drama!! But I have tons of poems Ive written....I find it puts in better moods...a lot like Harry Potter!!!
