Soit's winter solstice for me .. and that means we're halfway through winter right? I hope so anyway! Really must do somethign about ht eheating in my house.

It's my wedding anniversary. We chose the Summer Solstice in order to make sure that we had as much daylight as possible, since ours was an outdoor wedding.

And we danced all night.

The sun went down here at about 6.20pm. I miss those long summer nights of Southern Ontario, where that magical twilight time lasted for hours. Tonight it won't get dark there till about 9.45pm. That's what happens when you change Latitudes from 43.55N to 9.86N

I just attended an outdoor wedding today and didn't even think about it being our summer solstice. It was a beautiful wedding on a lovely day!

My youngest daughter was also married at Summer Solstice! I think it helps remember the date!

Our winter has been mild this year too and I was also thinking that since we are half way through it, the other half should be a breeze. Just hope I don't jinx it by saying so.
