I agree, Shellsie, great photos all around!

Professer - Someday I must visit the UK and see all the lovely places there!

This is Crater Lake, a national park in Oregon. Yes, it's really that blue. Incredible place.

I took this photo of a Lancaster Bomber flying at the Farnborough Airshow yesterday. It's interesting that if you can snap the photo while the wings are banked, it looks like you're up there with it. A fair amount of camera zoom and photo cropping of course:

Great picture of one of the best aircraft of all time, the Lancaster.
Here's a picture taken from the window of a boring old 757. This is the south coast of Ireland from 35,000 feet. You can just about make it out through the cloud.

I took a load of photos of aircraft in flight last week. Some just showed just an area of sky with no aeroplane , some showed the nose, some the tail. Others were well out of focus but about a third of the photos turned out OK. I think the Lancaster is one of the better ones.

What great photos from everyone. I've been away on a short holiday to Riding Mountain National Park. Here's a picture of the local movie house.

A fallow deer stag, with a set of fine antlers, still in velvet. The velvet will be shed in a month or so, leaving the hard antlers ready for the autumn rut.

Welcome, nifti1, that is a lovely photo. One of these days I plan to visit Scotland. Oh, and I love your border collie, too.

The other day I posted a photo taken from my mother's bedroom window. This is the view from her front porch taken late in the afternoon which is why it's so blue.

Hi ClaraSue,

Wow! those mountains look amazing! Reminds me a bit of Glencoe. the great Glen here in Scotland.
Border Collie's are just the best dogs aren't they?
If you ever get to Scotland come visit and let me show you around.

More great photos - love all the differents things to see on this thread.

Lisa, your mom has an incredible view every morning!

Welcome nifti, and I like the border collie, too.

This is another shot of Crater Lake, this time from the surface where we took a boat tour. All water entering the lake is rain or snow melt.

A serene gardenscape in Butchart Gardens about 3 months ago, in Victoria, B.C.; a 1 1/2 hours drive south of here (the provincial capital).

Oops, sorry for the confusion. My parents are in Arizona during the winter and Colorado in the summer. The latest photos have been from CO where we have been on vacation visiting.
