This is my first attempt at posting a photo, so please bear with me. My 1 year old granddaughter, Grace, attempting a last ditch effort to stay up longer last night and 'play ball' with me. I was worn out and it didn't work!

Someone's come a long way to be in a picture
MG, the interesting thing about the Good Life was although it was meant to be Surbiton it was actually filmed the opposite side of London in Northwood, where I was a couple of days ago. Most of Surbiton is a lot older than that and less suburban.

This is a typical scene in west London as a bus goes through Chiswick

What great shots of the little ones.

I always love seeing the big red buses, it reminds me of the visit to London where we got on the bus and went the wrong way. We just stayed on until we got back where we got on. Saw quite at bit of the East End that way. I think we got confused because of the driving on the left.

We were coming back from our walk at Bunn's Creek, to our car and I had just washed and waxed it the day before. It look so nice I just had to show it off.

For those of you who live where it's always warm if you look just to the left below the license plate you'll see a cord (it's hard to see). We have a block heater installed in our vehicles so we can start them in the sub zero temperatures.

Lovely photos, all! I especially enjoy all of the nice countryside scenes.

I am in Washington, DC, for the summer, so many of my photos are quite tourist-y. This first one is from last Friday at the National Independence Day celebration at the National Mall.

Welcome gypsy, and by coincidence my grandpa took a whole roll of film of similar fireworks in the same place on the same date while we were there, but in 1980. It was probably a coincidence we were in DC that particular day as they were in The States on business and that was just on our route back to see my cousin there. Brings back many memories!

Welcome gypsy! Great fireworks shot! Lovely kiddie photos, and TW that woodland looks a lovely spot for a bike ride.

I walked over to a nearby park this evening to listen to a "Concert on the Bay", a regular thing on Sundays and Wednesdays, and took this as I walked home.

Great photos everyone. fabulous fireworks !!

This was taken Empire Day, downtown, at our inner harbour. Took a tour aboard them.

Left to Right: HMCS Nanaimo, and HMCS Edmonton; of the Canadian Naval Fleet. These are not used for war.

While we were staying with friends in Sebastopol during our recent trip, they treated us to a Marshall Tucker Band concert at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma. I just love the old-fashioned theatre!

Last year, these 'trees' in our market place had an additional tier, but either H & S or cost-cutting has made them appear a little dumpy this year - still very attractive displays as they are all different colours. Another here.

I have been enjoying everyones pictures of buildings in their neighbourhood and then realized I had some great pictures I took in Namibia last year to share.

Here is the first one taken in Swakopmund. Unfortunately I don't know any history about it but just loved the old fashioned architecture.

Lady,

Is this the same place? Check out the photo on the bottom right... it is called Hohenzollern House.

Wonderful photos all. I have always wanted to ride on one of your double-decker buses. The storks are such ungainly birds, aren't they? Not nice, Steve! Love the ships, the flowers are still pretty, lily, and I also love the old theaters, MG. We have just one left here. That building is amazing, lady, what a work of art. Is the man at the top holding up the world ie like Atlas?

This is a view across Central London from Muswell Hill, and I used to do my voluntary work at the end of this road as well.

...and Sue, today. I have never been so embarrassed. The old girl sat down in the middle of St Helier, on a wall next to this guy. I was about to take her photo when he said 'Shall I move?' What did the dear old thing do? said 'Oh no' and snuggled up to him for the photo. Here is the evidence.Honestly! You cant take her anywhere!

Great shot and view, Sat. The joy of a child playing in a fire hydrant, haven't done that in many years. Lovely hollyhock and as for the next 2 photos, well, I just don't have words!

I've been on vacation, actually still am, and I haven't been on the computer in days. I sure had a lot of pictures to look through and I have to say, I love them all!
Welcome to Furby and Gypsy, glad to have you both! MG, the roadrunner is the State Bird for New Mexico and I've yet to get a photo of one. Sara and Sue, keep the photos coming, they're great!

I was in a small mining town in Colorado the other day and saw this cat and thought of most of you.

Later, I'm going to have many vacation photos to share.
