I personally much prefer to do quizzes on general themes within a subject than on a single narrow topic. As such, when I write a quiz I prefer to use that format too.

So, I usually tend to group 'Art & Literature' together in a 'Mixed Bag/General Knowledge' type quiz, but I cannot work out where to submit such a quiz here. For example, suppose I have a half dozen various types of literature questions ranging from Homer to Shakespeare to Kipling to Dan Brown, plus the remainder of a 10-question quiz on what I would term 'Arts' subjects such as Poetry, Opera, Classical Music, Paintings, Sculpture, Greek/Roman Mythology and other such subjects.

I was going to send it to the 'Literature - General' category but I am assuming it will get rejected because there are a couple of questions that are not strictly 'literature'.

Is it even possible to submit what I would tern 'Arts & Literature' quizzes and, if so, please point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Marc

As it happens, I am also working on a quiz that could conceivably go in either category -- Art or Literature. I'm calling it "Literary Art History," and it concerns novels and poetry with art-world/art-historical themes. (Not to worry, EnglishJedi, I won't be including a Dan Brown question.)

At the moment, I've designated "Art" as the category, but I suspect this is inappropriate. A little guidance would be appreciated.

EnglishJedi - not really. I would suggest making two quizzes out of this. Take a look in Humanities, under Art, to see what we look for in a strictly "Art" quiz.

A quiz such as you suggest might find a home in Humanities - Misc, if it were a true mixture. If you had ten Lit questions and ten assorted other Arts, we would be happier with two quizzes.

Ianfranco, I'd suggest Literature - Something in Common for your quiz.
