That was one weird episode last night, wasn't it? Just strange, all over the place. Some enormous sumo dude sitting on clues (and I have to say, I personally would have never risked my hand by grabbing that envelope from under such a large gobbledegook-speaking stranger's butt ). It didn't surprise me, somehow, that Dan rose to such a challenge, however. Then there was Jessie in a gorilla suit? Amazing how he could still be annoying - even though we didn't even know it was him yet. Then there was the "pretzel lady", all those extremely bizarre 3-D puzzle pieces in the yard? Very peculiar (but kinda fun) episode, indeed. Capped off by Dan making the weirdest (but sensible, maybe, I suppose) choice of whom he'd like to take to an island getaway. Michelle? Oh, I'd rather take that spider that he and Memphis were playing around with than her - she'd get on my nerves after about 1.5 tropical breezes (or less). I wondered, too ... is she really all that influential in the Jury House? At this point, I doubt it. As much as they, too, would irritate me in short order, I think I'd have picked April or Libra. I'm thinking it won't be much of a "prize", anyway. He's bound to get busted on the whole thing, once the remaining houseguests go and mix with the jury. One more reason for Dan to be deservedly dubbed "a sneaky lowlife". And that's even IF he makes the Final Two. This is getting down to the wire (and one can't really say much, as usual, until this last Veto thing is decided). But I think it's safe to think that Keesha better hope (a lot) that she wins that veto necklace. If not, I'm thinking she'll be the next one hanging out with Ollie, et al ... And am I just being unduly nervous? It seems Jerry's positioning (again, depending on the Veto) might be getting better with each passing day? God forbid ...

My guess as to why Dan picked Michelle is that she's probably the one most likely to vote with her emotions rather than based on logic/game play. Maybe he thinks he can smooth over the bad blood between them with a little schmoozing. He may think she'd be the easiest one to "turn". Plus, it's not the Hawaii trip that got taken away, but it's a little vacation. Maybe he thinks she will be grateful and reward him or something... Michelle may be terribly annoying, but Dan has proven himself willing to do all sorts of things for this game--like stick his hand under a Sumo wrestler's butt --so I guess a little time alone with Michelle is probably a small price to pay. On a tangent...I found this interesting little video clip on the CBS website. Not spoiler-y, just an interesting look at what goes on behind those two-way mirrors : Behind the scenes

Whoa, talk about a world in itself! Geez, that was almost like a space shuttle control room. I may be a tad overboard or very paranoid, but I am getting more nervous that Jerry, who I promoted to *General* in my last post because I think his power has stepped up a notch, is going to actually pull this thing off.

I don't know what became of my earlier post but to sum it up I pretty much said I think the reason Dan chose Michelle might be that he's certain he will be in the final two and thinks taking her on his reward will buy her vote. While I can't begrudge him for winning the luxury comp, I do have issues with how he shares info. Seems unnecessary to tell half-truths to his housemates about the choices he was given, he could - as his father advised - say less and not put himself in a situation where he has to explain himself later on.

I can't wait to hear what you all have to say about last night. Personally, after Memphis did what he basically had to do to Keesha, I have decided I do not like him anymore and would rather see Dan (did I say that?) with the big money. I highly doubt Jerry will have physically made it through that challenge last night, our balance seems to go as we get older, just a fact. I guess I was naive enough to think that Memphis would honor something at this point and boot Jerry. Was Dan serious when he told Memphis, "You're done?"

Yes ... most interesting turn of events ! I was WAY too wobbly to make any predictions early on (and you're right, Bx, 50% accuracy on your part is impressive, I'd say ). Had I picked [at the beginning of the season], the next-to-last person I'd have chosen to end up even close to the Finals would have been Dan. Now? It'd be robbery if he didn't win the big prize. His game play was pretty exceptional, notably in the bottom half of the summer. Memphis was steady throughout, but Mr. Dan really worked hard for his spot. Interesting, I thought, how (to me, anyway) he seemed so mostly "reactionary" at the start ... but learned quickly, and turned all that into some wickedly keen forethought/"proaction". I'll be totally disappointed if he loses. Even though I called him (without hesitation) *boring* a few dozen posts ago ...

Dan and Memphis put quite the show on for Jerry Thursday. Jerry seemed to believe the act as well, he was very lucky just to make it this far. Well the final two this time around both deserve to win, I've rarely seen it when both finalists deserve to win. I got to give it to Dan, perhaps one of the greatest "Big Brother" players of all time. I know it's a stretch but Dan has had excellent strategies throughout the game, he was able to alter them when the game has changed as well, most people couldn't pull that off. To my surprise, he was very competitive, 3 HOHs, pulling off America's Player for the week, and a few vetos. When I first saw him, I thought he was going to play the weak strategy the whole time but he didn't. He knew exactly when to be weak and when to be strong, truly amazing.
Don't get me wrong, Memphis had an alright game, never really giving off emotions and even had a likeable personality to the opposition, but he wasn't as competitve as many of us had thought, never won HOH but he did win the car, a few vetos, and he "won" the onion necklace. If Memphis won, I wouldn't be upset over it but my vote would defitanly be for Dan. As for my favorite juror, I'd vote for Renny but I wouldn't be shocked if Jerry won it though.
