Well well- my secret theory Golders Green station is the centre of the universe may be true after all! Sorry it didn't end happily for your boyfriend Agnes, I must admit I've only eaten the sandwiches there and they were always very good- you'll have to call me if you're there for more than a few minutes next time.
Before I read your story I already had this shot lined up of the very place. Tell him not to look...

The National Express stops are on the right next to the main road as you well know, and one is there as well as there usually is.

Here's Katt in his new favourite lounging spot, under my new deck table and chairs. He rolls around as if the wooden deck was covered in catnip!

Liz, Katt is beautiful! He probably rolls around on the new deck because of the brand new smell of wood.

This is the house next door to the one a couple of days ago. You'd expect this to be in the middle of the English countryside, but when it was built it probably was.

This is from my trip to Jamestown, NY...for the Lucy and Desi weekend. Had to drive thru the Lehigh Valley Tunnel.

My sister took this photo as we were approaching the tunnel itself.

So many great pics again from all of you!
- ClaraSue, The lightning shot is just a 'WOW"!
- Liz, Katt has that "I am the man" look about him in every picture.
- What a gorgeous clematis, argus! They may be fairly common, but have always been a favorite of mine.

Thanks, everybody! Argus, your clematis is just beautiful! My mother would love that.

Elaine, I bet that was a nice afternoon at the park after all the heat you've had.

An old pier at Mayport, Florida.

This is my daughter's cat Crookshanks (coolcat90 was a Harry Potter fan when she named him). I keep a basket by the back door for the dog's toys, leash etc. and Crookshanks loves to sit in it. He hates Lucky (the dog) so I wonder if this is his way of getting back at him for stealing his food and water.

Crookshanks looks like he is saying "this is my domain...stay away or I pounce on you!"

Please allow me to say the collection of pictures I viewed in this chat are some of the most beautiful sights I have seen in many years.

Thank you all very, very much.

This photo is of a totem pole that sits outside the gift shop of Indian Caverns. I was on vacation last week, and my sister and I took day trips...Indian Caverns was one of them.

Her mommy was tied up and abandoned in a restaurant parking lot. Thanks to whoever was so heartless, my sister now has a great dog in the mother and "Itabit" the cutest puppy ever.

I'm smitten! Itabit is gorgeous. This is Archie - 10 weeks old and seems to need no sleep. Here he is, after another frantic burst of activity and unusually exhausted. He has very big feet. He is staying with my son for a week whilst his owners are on holiday.

Glad you enjoyed the photos talentedone. There are some pretty talented photographers on this board.

What a cute puppy how could anyone not want to give him a good home.

This young Robin certainly enjoyed our birdbath. I had to refill it twice as he came back after the first time I filled it and had another go.

Here in Bristol, we're having our annual balloon festival this weekend. Sadly, the English weather hasn't been kind & the thing has been pretty much washed out. For the first time ever though, there was a display by the famous Red Arrows. They flew over the area I live many times during the display & I took a few fairly decent shots. Not a good as the earlier one from Farnborough, but not bad considering the weather & distance (and the speed come to that. They don't hang about!)

Actually it was 101 that day, but with 7% humidity, it was not too bad in the shade!

We all had fun exploring the edges of the park lake - this is "Richard", a crawfish that my girls found and named! He made me hungry for Cajun food all day.

I've been participating in another English Civil War re-enactment this week at Donington-le-Heath manor house, a 13th century fortified house in Leicestershire.
Weather could have been better, but we had a lot of fun anyway, and plenty of visitors.
This is a small field artillery piece which is called a robinette.

This is a common sight in the desert, especially during summer. The tail end a dust devil south of Phoenix, Arizona.

This rural looking pond was actually in a garden centre in Esher. There were more just outside it but this came out the best.

The Imps Motorcycle Display Team, all aged between 16 and under, at the Keith show

Here's a few more from that team: Young Mascots The youngest member is the one on top. 18 of them on 5 bikes - almost broke apart! It rained this morning, so the ground was not that dry, when the performed this afternoon. The best one I took was of one of them jumping through a ring of fire, but the Photobucket editors have deleted it.
