- MG, Yes, Crookshanks definitely has his own presence about him.
- sara, Is Sue allowed in that pub?
- Neat totem, Agnes. (I almost wrote TP, but thought I'd better not)

- Here, here, lady! I couldn't agree with you more and that pup deserves to be loved.
- lily, Maybe Archie can see that happy robin down below his picture and the thought of traveling all the way to argus' to *visit* has him worn out.
- Another good shot of the Red Arrows, Martin, and it's funny to see them twice after not knowing about them previous to this thread.

Sandy, I would be doubtful about taking Sue in any pub...
I saw these in a garden centre and thought them a bit too twee for my taste, but I think they would stand out here, if I could have carried them back.

On the weekend, we went to a small party at our friends' house. Despite the arctic weather, our friends are fresh air fiends, so we sat outdoors around an open pit fire munching on, among other things, toasted marshmallows, as demonstrated above. (I also found out that it is extremely difficult to get a good photograph of fire. )

Those look good enough to eat! It's almost lunchtime here...and that's making me hungry!

The proof of the pudding.....

There is not likely to be a photo of the outcome - I usually burn the crumble, but everyone seems to like the toffee consistency, smothered in icecream and cream.

MG, I have a very similar picture of a campfire. You're right, it's not easy getting a good shot.

Yesterday, hubby and I spent the afternoon riding our bicycles around Alameda and Coast Guard Island, California. This shot is of the marina looking towards downtown Oakland.

- "Sandy, I would be doubtful about taking Sue in any pub..." Just as I thought, Sara! Those cat planters are very different and would definitely stand out, I like them!
- MG, I have yet to eat one toasted marshmallow this year, that's the only way I eat them, but after seeing another pic of them, I am going to have to have some.
- lilyalli, Scrumptious looking berries!

Between the marshmallows and the blackberries, I'm hungry! Nice shot of the marina, ClaraSue.

Laying back and looking up at a pine tree...

- djs, That is one big pine tree!

Another image from the re-enactment event I attended over the week-end; a 17th century wood-turner making handles for leather working awls.
They're for me in fact, as I've recently taken up leather working in a small way!

Professer, I love all the textures in that shot, and the mountains look beautiful.

Lily, I have to say I'm glad there won't be any photos of the product - just thinking about it is making me so hungry that I can barely get my work done, let alone seeing it!

Cute baby birds! They look to be about a week old.

This picture was a great anomaly coming home from Jamestown. It's very rare to see a house like this, and it was such a lucky find:

In the same Garden Centre, I saw this 'flar'. I have no idea what it is but it smells completely of nothing else but ... chocolate. Amazing!

I kept my daughter-in-law's poodle, Teddy, while they were on vacation last week. It was quite a zoo with Maggie, my daughter's kitten, Smokey, and him all running around. I did catch them in a quiet moment yesterday...
