Hopefully this is the place to post this question. Probably is, cause it is probably my computer!

I tried to long onto funtrivia.com in Mozilla Firefox and got a blank white page with this message:

Bad cookie. Please delete the cookies from your browser, and reload this page.

I've just run a scan with Spy Sweeper. I tried deleting cookies, but could only find "Clear Private Data" and that did no good. I've been able to get in using IE. Just what am I doing wrong?

I don't know if you have tried this, but go in to internet options, and a screen comes up and you can delete cookies and temporary internet files. Hope this helps. I have Mozilla and haven't had that before.

To remove cookies in Firefox, go to the Options window (it's in the Tools menu in my version of Firefox) and then to the Security tab. There should be a button there that says "Show Cookies". Clicking that button will open another window where you can see all the cookies that are stored by Firefox, and where you can remove some or all of them.

For pictures of the menus and windows I'm talking about: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Cookies

Thanks Leau. I discovered that window, but never saw the "Show Cookies" little button. It was at that point that I checked the box that said to clear personal items upon closing. Once I checked that it worked fine. But now that I see the button you mentioned, it has all become clear!

demurechicky, I have that route you suggested in IE, but not in Firefox. In any case, thanks for all the suggestions, problem has been solved.

Thank you for asking your question! I had never seen that button either, and wouldn't have found it, had you not asked!

Maybe worth a mention is the site's 'My Cookies' tool. Using this will also clear FunTrivia cookies. It can be found in 'My Home' under 'Maintenance' or in the site's FAQ under the heading 'Help! I'm having trouble logging in' (5th heading down in the FAQ page - see step 5).

Thanks TW, I've not noticed that before. Is it anything relatively new? Like in the past couple of years?

I don't know if it's always been there ..but probably for quite a bit longer than a couple of years anyway.
